Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Manikrao Thakre today dismissed any "wave" in favour of BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi and said his speeches against Congress are indeed "helping" the alliance.

"His (Modi's) speeches are not acceptable to people in the state because this is the land of reformers like Shahu (Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj), (Jyotiba) Phuley, and (Babasaheb) Ambedkar," Thakre said.

"Modi is addressing more meetings and (making) more hate speeches (against Congress). They are indeed helpful to us," Thakre told reporters.

He said Congress-NCP alliance will win a total of 35 out of 48 seats in upcoming elections. "We will win seven seats in Vidarbha region," he claimed.

The MPCC president also denied reports of factionalism in Congress party.

The title with only "Thakre" instead of "Manikrao Thakre" appears to be intentional.

At least in the hearts of non-NDA politicians, there is definitely a Modi wave. Otherwise, why would every Tom, Dick, and Harry from these parties keep talking about Modi every time they open their mouths?

" Thakre today dismissed any "wave" in favour "

A wave of dismissals dismissing the Modi wave is coming each day.

So what is your complaint?  Let Modi give as many speeches he wants to give.  For you 'Fayda Hi Fayda'.

It has become fashionable to say that there is no Modi 'wave'.  We hear this phrase from so many Modi opponants that we cannot help but conclude that this matter must be bothering them like having a thorn in their underwear.
