BSP, Congress Two Sides of Same Coin: SP

Samajwadi Party today charged the UPA government with "shielding" Mayawati on corruption, saying that BSP and Congress are the "two sides of a same coin".

"The UPA government kept its lips tight rather than act against Mayawati for misusing funds given by the Centre for development of state," SP general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav said.

It happened because UPA and Mayawati are head and tale of one coin, Yadav alleged.

"Mayawati was given clean chit by the UPA government and her entire black money was converted into white money," said the SP leader.

Addressing a public meeting here, Yadav claimed that UP has been destroyed by Mayawati government and she accumulated wealth at the cost of development of poor and Dalits.

"UP was flourishing when Mulayam Singh Yadav left in 2007 but during last five years only Mayawati's elephant developed," he said.

He also attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for "misguiding voters".

"Rahul Gandhi is misguiding the voters with dreams of development while he has no parameter for it," Yadav said.

Rahul should explain the steps taken by his government to curb the inflation, corruption and black-money, he said.

"Rahul has no answers, as he does not know about these problems being faced by the country, he only knows to stay in huts of poors with five star style to impress them," said the SP leader.
