WB: Left Front Renominates Tapan Sen for RS Election
Tapan Sen was today renominated as the Left Front supported CPI(M) candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections from West Bengal.

Sen, CITU General Secretary, will get 61 first preference votes from Left Front MLAs, Front chairman Biman Bose told reporters here.

Sen's renomination was finalised at the Left Front committee meeting here.

Biennial election to the Rajya Sabha for five seats from West Bengal is scheduled on March 30.

The Left Front was the first to announce its candidate for Rajya Sabha election in the state.
