A 35-year-old married woman was allegedly gangraped by five of her neighbours here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday at Satha locality when the woman, mother of five children, was going to the market to buy milk, Circle Officer Police Vaibhav Krishna said.
While on her way, the woman's neighbour Imran invited her to his home where four of his friends were present.
She was raped by the five men at knife point, stated the police complaint lodged by the woman's husband Jamshed.
Imran has been arrested but the four others are absconding, Krishna said.

A youth was arrested today for allegedly raping his student, a girl of class VIII, at Khosalpur under Dhantala police station in Nadia district, police said.
The parents of the victim lodged a complaint against the youth, a college student and private tutor of the girl, that he raped her last night.
The girl along with her family members and the youth, who live in the same locality, had gone to a wedding ceremony in the neighbourhood, sources said.
The youth took her to his home from the ceremony and raped her.
Later, the girl told her parents about the incident and they complained to police following which the youth was arrested, the sources said.

Binpur police station, was arrested from Kalyani in Nadia district
yesterday, where he was undergoing a training as a member of the
National Volunteer Force, police said today.
The youth and the woman belonged to the same village and had been students of Jhargram Raj College.
The woman lodged an FIR at the Binpur police station yesterday that the youth had raped her with a 'false' promise to marry her.
Besides, he also taken obscene pictures of her by his cellphone and circulated them, she said in the FIR.
Jhargram ACJM Priyajeet Chatterjee remanded the youth in five days' police custody today.
His counsel said the two had an affair for two years and denied that he had taken any obscene pictures of her.
The youth was charged under IPC sections 376 (rape), 420 (cheating) and
506 (criminal intimidation), and various sections of the Information

A youth has been arrested for allegedly harassing a girl for the past four years on the internet.
Vishal Sharma, hailing from Benaras and currently pursuing B.Tech in a college at Meerut, was harassing the girl from Thane. His four friends were also involved in the case, district police spokesperson said today.
After the girl's family registered a complaint, Maharasthra Police took the call records of the victim and through mobile surveillance they got to know the youth's location, said police.
A team of Maharashtra police yesterday visited the college and took the youth into custody for questioning. Four others are reportedly absconding and a search is on to nab them.
In another case, a nursery student was allegedly molested in a private school in Rashid Nagar area here by the principal's son, police said.

A two-and-half-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by a teenager here, police said today.

The arrested have been identified as Narendra Sharma (40), who is employed with transport department of Delhi government.
The victim alleged the accused had sexual relationship with her but refused to marry her.
