A Class IV girl student was allegedly molested by her school headmaster in the institute premises, police said.
The victim, student of Government Primary School, was molested by Jagdamba Prasad (59), who was drunk yesterday, Circle Officer Aruna Bhartee said.
The accused has been arrested.
Due to heavy rains, the school declared rainy day leave yesterday. But as the leave was declared late, many students had reached the school.
The victim (11) along with her younger sister was in the school. She was sitting with other students in the class when headmaster Prasad told her to come to his office.
When the girl went to his room, the drunken headmaster molested the victim. When she opposed the act, he threatened her.
He also offered her money and asked her not to disclose the matter to any one. She then made an excuse of collecting her school bag and came out of the room and ran to her home, leaving her shoes and school bag behind.
She later narrated the incident to her family members, who reported the matter to Kalal Ghati police station.

A Class IX girl student was gangraped allegedly by four youths, who gagged and tied up a male friend accompanying her, police said.
The girl, who had set out with the friend from Joynagar on bicycle for a relative's home at Nalua, was stopped by the four youths at Bhaganpur, Additional Superintendent of Police Kankar Prasad Barui said today.
The youths, who were unidentified, gagged and bound the male friend and allegedly gangraped the girl who fell unconscious, Barui said.
Villagers discovered the two this morning and informed the father of the girl, Renupasad Halder, he said.
The father took his daughter to the Joynagar Police Station where an FIR was filed against the four unidentified youths, the ASP said.
The girl was taken to the district headquarters town for an initial checkup and later brought to the metropolis for medical tests, Barui said.
A school teacher has been arrested for allegedly making obscene phone calls to a minor girl student, police said.
Akash Choudhary (21), a teacher working with KKC School in city's Anand Nagar locality was arrested yesterday, they said.
Choudhary had forcibly given a cell phone to the girl, a student of class VIII, about a week ago and later started making obscene calls to her during night hours. He also threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed about it to anyone, police said.
Fed up with it, the girl informed about it to her parents yesterday following which they, along with some other people from their locality, went to the school and handed the accused to police after beating him up, police said.
The cell phone that the accused gave to the minor girl was also seized by police.
A case has been registered against the accused under sections 354 (assault or criminal force with an intent to outrage modesty of a woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC, they added.
In another case, a 50-year-old man was today arrested in connection with the alleged rape
and murder of an eight-year-old girl, whose body was found here three
days ago, police said.
The accused has been identified as
Nand Kishor, who lives in the same area where the girl resided and he
knew the girl, Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Vijay Yadav
Blood stains were found on Nand Kishor's clothes when
he was caught, Yadav said adding that the the girl's face was damaged
beyond recognition by him so that she could not be easily identified.
Further forensic tests are being conducted, police said.
The body of the girl was found near the residence of Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta in T T Nagar area.
A constable was arrested and three more policemen, including a Sub-Inspector suspended today over the alleged rape of a teenaged Dalit girl at SR Puram police station, 100 km from here.
A high-level probe into the incident is on, police said, adding that the report on the medical examination of the girl, admitted to the Chittoor Government hospital 70 km from here, would come out this evening or tomorrow.
The policemen -- a Sub Inspector, an Assistant Sub Inspector and a constable were suspended for 'negligence in duty,' they said.

A Dalit leader, in his petition filed before the Superintendent of Police, Chittoor district yesterday, said the girl was brought from a nearby village to the police station for questioning on a complaint of an elopement case on Feb.2. She was detained in the station that night.
When her parents came to the police station the next day, the girl told them she was sexually assaulted by the constable, he said.
The petitioner also alleged that police had refused to register a case when the girl's parents tried to lodged a complaint.
A teenager has been booked here for allegedly abducting and raping a 15-year-old girl on the pretext of marrying her.
The 18-year-old accused, a labourer, took the girl to Delhi where he raped her, Ropar SSP Inder Mohan Singh said today.
Girl's father had lodged a complaint with the Ropar police about the abduction of her daughter a couple of days back, following which a search was launched, he said.
The accused was arrested in Ropar last night when he returned back from Delhi with the victim, he said.

An elderly man was today arrested for allegedly raping his daughter-in-law for about three years at a village here, police said.
The accused's wife, Bhamabai Thorve, was also arrested for allowing her husband to rape their daughter-in-law.
Sampat Baburao Thorve (55), a resident of Solapurwadi village in Ashti tehsil, raped the 23-year-old woman several times between 2009 till May last year, police said.
The woman's husband, Bibhishan, also allowed his father to sexually assault his wife, as per the complaint filed by the victim last night.
A case has been registered against the victim's husband and in-laws, police said, adding that the victim's husband is yet to be arrested.
A 27-year-old tailor was arrested here today for allegedly abducting a minor girl at nearby Udhagamandalam and sexually abusing her for a day after promising to marry her.
The parents of the 15-year old girl had lodged a complaint that their daughter had not returned from school on Monday, based on which an investigation was conducted, police said.
After the girl returned the next day, police questioned her and zeroed in on the tailor, who told police that they were in love and had gone to Udhagamandalam where he sexually abused her after promising to marry her.
While Mohanraj was arrested, the girl was sent for medical check-up in the government hospital, they said.

A 32-year-old man was today arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Jakhala village on February 3.
Accused Dinesh Yadav was produced before a Fast Track Court here which remanded him in judicial custody, police said.
Earlier, on a complaint filed by the victim's mother, a case on charges of abduction, rape, and under Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012 and SC/ST Act was registered against the accused, they said.
According to the complaint, Yadav enticed the 16-year-old girl and took her from Mundra village to Jakhala village, where he raped her.
A 60-year-old man was today arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl a year ago, police said here.
Rajkumar Soni, a jeweller, allegedly raped the 14-year-old victim about a year ago and gave her Rs 500 to keep quite, Raipur District Additional SP Lal Ummed Sinh said.
The girl had told her mother about the incident, who did not approach the police because of fear, he said.

Four persons have been arrested for allegedly raping a Dalit woman after drugging her in Ballabhgarh here, police said today.
The victim had gone to a clinic with her husband on January 29 when one of the accused Ansar took her to Rajiv Colony on some pretext and raped her along with his friends, they said.
The victim's husband had gone for some work when Ansar approached her. When he didn't find his wife after coming back he registered a missing person report following which police launched a search and recovered her, they said.
The victim, resident of Khandwali village, has also alleged that the accused have been threatening her with life, they said.
