Tension gripped Meerut district's Kharkhauda and Atrada areas here as members of a particular communities attacked and pelted stones at the houses of members of another community last night, over the alleged gangrape and religious conversion of a 20-year-old woman here.
Police and Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) personnel have been deployed in the area to bring the situation under control.
According to Superintendent of Police (rural) Captain M S Begh, the 20-year-old woman's father had lodged a complaint last night in Kharkhauda police station against Village Pradhan Nawab Khan, cleric Sallaullah, his wife and daughter Nishant for abduction and rape.
The complainant alleged that Nawab along with five others abducted his daughter on July 23 and took her to a Madrassa where they raped and illegally confined her. They also forcefully made her sign some papers related to religious conversion.

>> The gang-rape took a political turn with Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Laxmikant Bajpai and MLA Sangeet Som, one of the main accused in the Muzaffarnagar riots case, declaring that they would meet the victim and her family
How horrible! A politician meeting a victim. I'm sure it has never happened at any time in history, anywhere in the world.
Now the politicization in Amit Shah tainted UP!
(1) The gang-rape took a political turn with Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Laxmikant Bajpai and MLA Sangeet Som, one of the main accused in the Muzaffarnagar riots case, declaring that they would meet the victim and her family.
(2) Outside the woman’s home, there are several mediapersons and police personnel. Inside, more than two dozen people of the Tyagi community are sitting to “express sympathy for one of our girls”. And hatred for “them”. “They always do such things when they are in a majority. When they are in a minority, they are ‘khaan saab’. But when we are in a minority, we have to say to them, ‘haan saab’,” says Kuldeep Tyagi, a BJP worker. “We want a CBI inquiry into the functioning of the madrasas. They indulge in terrorism and lure Hindu girls, covert them, and send them to UAE to marry sheikhs,” alleges Mahesh Tyagi, another BJP worker. “This incident is a spark."
A great opportunity for UP's hate merchants to inflame anti-Muslim feelings!
Commissioner says what mulayam wants to say .Raped girl has said to Media she was raped and named rapists who unfortunately are Muslims so naturally you will trust the Govt
But if we change the rapists and rape victim religions now you will not believe the Victims.
Brother if it is not your naked Communalism then what it is .
My friend being a Secu why your destroying your credibilty ?
AND WHAT DID THE COMMISSIONER SAID ABOUT FORCED CONVERSION ???
Injuries of woman don't suggest gangrape: Meerut Commissioner
The Commissioner of Meerut division on Tuesday said that injuries of 20-year-old teacher did not suggest gangrape. He added that the matter is being investigated on the basis of the medical report.
Meerut: Police claim discrepancies in woman's allegations of gangrape, conversion
Days after a 20-year-old in Meerut alleged gangrape and forced conversion, the police claim that there are discrepancies in her allegations. Police sources and the medical report indicate that the alleged victim had undergone a surgery to abort a complicated pregnancy.
Police say that the incision marks on the alleged victim's stomach show that the operation was performed by a trained doctor, who is being traced. Questions are also being raised by the police on the forced conversion claims.
Police claim an affidavit shows that she willingly converted to Islam. However, the victim has said she was forced to sign the affidavit.
