Pandit Jasraj gets Kerala govt's award
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 12 (PTI) Noted Hindustani vocalist Pandit Jasraj has been selected for the "2007 Swathi Puraskaram" of the Kerala Government.

The award, instituted by the Cultural Department, carried a cash prize of Rs.One lakh and a citation, Education and Culture Minister M A Baby said here yesterday.

Noted percussionists Thrikkamburam Krishnan Kutty Marar and Velloor Madhom Narayanan Marar were selected for the "2007 Pallavur Appu Marar Puruaskaram".

Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi Chairman Murali was also present when Baby made the announcement.
