K'taka: Man Rapes Daughter, Gets Her Pregnant

A 52-year-old allegedly raped his 24-year-old daughter for 11 months at Hunasemakki village in the district and made her pregnant, police said.

The man, who had threatened his daughter with dire consequences if she disclosed it to anyone, was arrested yesterday on a complaint from her, they said.

The woman and child, along with her mother, had left the village to an undisclosed destination fearing ostracisation by the villagers, police said.

There are criminal cases against mothers who killed their husbands when attempted on the modesty of the daughter. There were cases where the widowed remarried killed her husband when attempted at the modesty of the daughter got through first marriage. First of all our religous gurus must be honest before teaching morality to the followers. We have immoral gurus and sanyasis who are religiously followed by the foolish masses. Perhaps this outrage was done under the influence of liquor which cannot be an excuse for the heinous crime. Why the 24 year old daughter did not take seriouly on outraging of her modesty by her own father? Why there was complicity of the mother too? perplexing tribe.
