The CPI(M) will field candidates for Mandi and Shimla (Reserve) Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh, state party secretary Rakesh Singha said here today.
The party will support non-Congress and non-BJP nominees in Hamirpur and Kangra Parliamentary constituencies, he told reporters here.
The CPI (M) will contest Mandi and Shimla seats and will support non-BJP, non-Congress candidates in the other two Lok Sabha seats of Hamirpur and Kangra, Singha said.
On supporting AAP, he said, "We have not decided yet but may consider extending support to the party."
"The AAP has got a big political space in a short period but it is selectively targeting the ruling class and we cannot say how long this will last," he said.
Singha accused the Congress and the BJP of putting the real issues concerning common people on the back-burner.
"The two parties are trying to convert this election into a personalised fight between two big families of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and former CM Prem Kumar Dhumal," Singha said.
