Two government offices and four buses of state transport department were set ablaze by miscreants in the state capital today, police sources said.
Three buses of state transport department were completely gutted while another partially damaged when unknown miscreants set fire on the vehicles being parked inside the terminus in the wee hours today, police said.
In two other separate incidents early this morning, miscreants set fire at PWD superintendent engineer offices at Mowb-II here and Naharlagun.
While the office at Mowb-II was reduced to ash, the other at Naharlagun was partially damaged, police added.
Three fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire, Superintendent of Police of Capital, Alok Kumar informed adding a few computer sets from the PWD office here could be saved.
Meanwhile, prohibitory order under 144 CrPC which was promulgated from October 12 till today has been extended in the entire Capital complex till November 19 next.
Capital Complex magistrate Onit Panyang informed that as per the order, no person shall carry any lethal weapons like fire arms whether licensed or un-licensed, dao, spears, lathis and explosives materials within the Capital Complex during the entire prohibitory period.
"Strike including hunger strike, dharnas, rallies or agitation and bandhs or any meeting or assembly of four and more persons is also hereby banned during the period," he added.
