Anti-Gujarat Forces to Haunt the State in 24 Hours: Modi
A day ahead of an Ahmedabad court opening a crucial SIT report on post-Godhra riots, Chief Minister Narendra Modi today warned of a "storm of criticism by anti-Gujarat forces" to sweep the state in the next 24 hours.

"There will be a storm in the form of criticism in next 24 hours, but the anti-Gujarat forces will not be successful in doing any harm," Modi said after his day-long Sadhbhavana fast held here today without elaborating.

"Those who have been criticising Gujarat for the last one decade are going to come back to abuse us once again and this is because they cannot digest the success of Sadhbhavna that is peace, unity and harmony," Modi said.

A magisterial court in Ahmedabad will conduct a crucial hearing tomorrow on the Special Investigation Team report in a complaint against Modi and others in connection with 2002 riots.

The SIT report has reportedly given a clean chit to Modi stating there is no 'prosecutable evidence' against him in the riot case.

Modi also urged the 'anti-Gujarat forces' to accept that peace, harmony and brotherhood prevails in the state, and not to treat Gujaratis as people of an enemy state.

He also warned the 'anti-Gujarat forces' to do their politics outside Gujarat.

"They have done enough of salt rubbing into our wounds, but they cannot misguide the people of Gujarat. They cannot see Muslims, Christians and people of other religions working together. Few people who are against Gujarat are baffled by the success of Sadhbhavna," he said.

He also criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his recent statement that malnutrition was a shame for the nation.

"He (Prime Minister) accepted that malnutrition was a shame, but what next. What to do? Merely expressing his pain will not resolve the problem," Modi said.

Gujarat has shown the way with regard to malnutrition, where hundreds of people donated Sukhdi(sweet preparation made of jaggery and wheat flour) and dry fruits for the malnourished children, he said.

Liar! I never said it had anything to do with their being Gujaratis! I am a Gujarati myself.

If justice go in your favour then Gujarat judges are capable if it goes againt they aren't, what a logic! Anti-Gujarat and anti- Modi is same as Gujaratis are chosing him time and again. Gujaratis were always different from the rest of India. They are progressive yet quite religious and traditional. Always look ahead and known for having some strong leaders. They connect with Modi and not with other Indian politician. Definately not with Gandhis.

"They cannot see Muslims, Christians and people of other religions working together." Very Ture.

This has been my observation during my long stay in Gujarat after 2002. People live without fear and without discrimination there. People who are targeting Modi are living in the past. They don't want to see and acknowlegde the present Gujarat. Progressive and Peaceful.
