AP: Religious Leader Held for Anti-Owaisi Hate Speech
A religious leader was today arrested in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh for allegedly delivering a "hate speech."

Mirchowk police in old city here had registered a criminal case against Swami Kamalanand Bharathi, the president of Devalaya (temple) Parirakshana Samithi, on January 10 following a complaint lodged by one Rahman that he delivered  "hate speech" during a meeting at Indira Park in the city on January 9.

The complainant had alleged that Swami used inflammatory and objectionable words hurting the religious sentiments of a community while condemning the speech of MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi, who was recently arrested for his alleged provocative speeches against a particular community.

A case was registered against Swami Kamalanand Bharathi under section 153 of IPC (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion), Deputy Commissioner of Police (Mirchowk division) M Kistaiah said today.

Later, the case was transferred to Special Investigation Team (SIT) for probe, he said.

A special team of SIT went to Srisailam town in Kurnool district and took him in custody today.

Swami was then brought to here and produced in a court which sent him in 14 days' judicial remand, police said adding that he has been sent to Cherlapally Central jail here.

A delegation comprising some heads of Hindu religious organisations have made a representation to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy, seeking unconditional release of Kamalananda Bharathi, who was arrested for making a ‘hate’ speech recently.

While it is bad for these self-styled "religious" leaders to interfere in a legal process, it is equally weird that Bharathi was arrested on a mere complaint. So far, I haven't seen anyone point out the supposed "hate" he is spreading, that prompted the otherwise slow moving sicko Congressis (and their lackeys on this forum), to jump into action, arrest him, and start criticizing him.

Probably they felt a sickular urge to "balance" the arrests on both sides.

Why didn't the police do a full medical test for Swami Kamalanand Bharathi like they did for the London vacationing hate Hindu-hater Owasi before areesting him? Forgot - special 5 star treatment for Hindu bashers in Sonia Gandhi's Raj.

>> After Owaisi and Togadia, we now have Swami Bharati joining the hate-speech parade

What exactly did the guy say that you are accusing him of joining the hate-speech parade?

Hmm. Did the complainant provide any evidence, or was the guy arrested and sent to 14 days of custody just on the basis of a complaint?
