A gora swami and his autobiography saw the swish set of Mumbai show up in full strength—Juhi Chawla, Nawaz Modi Singhania, Ajay Piramal and wife Swati, etc etc etc. A life-sized copy of Radhanatha Swami alias Richard Slavin's book The Journey Home: Autobiography of an American Swami showed up on stage as if to match the hurdles that 'souls face on the path to inner harmony'. Next up: perhaps Juhi's eternal quest for nirvana at the ISKCON temple.

Kool Kat

Another trophy for Katrina’s already-crowded mantelpiece, the Rajiv Gandhi Award for best Hindi actress. This one comes in recognition for her performance in New York. In addition to her recent success, she’s also said to be the most googled star and has been rated the sexiest woman by FHM. Go Kat, paint the town Blue. We’ll be watching.

Burn Before U Preach

Sanju baba, much out of shape, was seen pumping iron at the Healthworks Gym, Thane, run by his friend Prabhod Davkhare. He also announced he was contemplating the fitness club business. Well, he first has to burn the flab.

Miss Know-It-All

Predictable—that’s what this year’s Miss Universe pageant was all about. Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela took the crown from her compatriot Dayana Mendoza to add to the country’s record of the highest number of international pageant wins.
