If politicians had interests of the country before anything, this country would have been miles ahead of where it is now.

SC's verdict is a good reminder of all that BJP rallied for pre election. But problem with any political party is all the promises go into the trash can once they are elected. Modi's BJP is no different.

''Coalgate: Follow-up CAG report had blamed Centre, Madhu Koda for illegalities in mines allocation ;; Pardeep Thakur

NEW DELHI: A year after the CAG's Coalgate report was tabled in Parliament in August 2012, the auditor came out with a report which, while focusing on revenues of the Jharkhand government, dealt with illegalities in coal allocation in some detail. The report, which escaped attention despite having been tabled in Parliament, accused both the Centre and then Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda of allegedly tampering with the list of recommendations made by a screening committee for allocation of six coal blocks in the state.

The CAG report revealed that in 2007, the coal ministry, which was directly under then PM Manmohan Singh, not only okayed the alteration made by Koda to allot coal mines to companies which were not approved by the screening committee set up by the Jharkhand government but also made additions of its own at the final stage. In the process, the screening committee, which was supposed to be the chief mechanism for determining the eligibility of companies vying for precious coal deposits, was rendered irrelevant. The screening committee went through 210 applications to approve 10 of them.

READ ALSO: Supreme Court's order puts accused in a tight spot

Koda's action was violative of the decision to give the screening committee final say in assessing eligibility but passed muster with the Centre.

The CAG sought a response from the state in September 2012 over the alterations made in the original recommendation but the government did not reply. CAG finally wrote in its report, "The matter was reported to the government in September 2012. We have not received their reply (February 2013)."

Koda, an Independent MLA who became Jharkhand CM with the support of Congress in 2006, was arrested on charges of money laundering in connection with the mines allocation made during his tenure. Enforcement Directorate and CBI registered cases against him and attached properties worth hundreds of crores related to the scam.''

The PM in his Independence Day address had to tell babus to be punctual in attending office. So too it takes the Supreme Court to tell PMs and CMs not to appoint politicians with criminal charges pending against them as Ministers.

The "Reader's Right" is first to have unrestricted access to news and articles, both in the print and online media, without being assailed by "in your face" advertisements. Have any of the online readers of Outlook of late been able to read even one piece in the magazine without being bombarded by pop up ads which interfere ever so frequently with their right of reading it in peace? Do the advertisers not realise that far from promoting their products such crass promotional tactics only create an aversion for them subconciously in the minds of the targets?

Should all of us Outlook online readers not raise our collective voice against its editor for inflicting this torture on us?

Official investigations

In October 2009, the Karnataka government announced its intentions to counter "Love Jihad", which "appeared to be a serious issue". A week after the announcement, the government ordered a probe into the situation by the CID to determine if an organised effort existed to convert these girls and, if so, by whom it was being funded. One woman whose conversion to Islam came under scrutiny as a result of the probe was temporarily ordered to the custody of her parents, but eventually permitted to return to her new husband after she appeared in court, denying pressure to convert. In April 2010, police used the term to characterize the alleged kidnapping, forced conversion and marriage of a 17-year-old college girl in Mysore.

Following the launching of a poster campaign in Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala, purportedly by organisation Shri Ram Sena, state police began investigating the presence of that organisation in the area. In late October 2009, police addressed the question of "Love Jihad" itself, indicating that while they had not located an organisation called "Love Jihad", "there are reasons to suspect ‘concentrated attempts’ to persuade girls to convert to Islam after they fall in love with Muslim boys". They documented unconfirmed reports of a foreign-funded network of groups encouraging conversion through the subterfuge, but noted that no organisations conducting such campaigns had been confirmed and no evidence had been located to support foreign financial aid.

In late 2009, The Karnataka CID (Criminal Investigation Department) reported that although it was continuing to investigate, it had found no evidence that a "Love Jihad" existed. In late 2009, Director-General of Police Jacob Punnoose reported that although the investigation would continue, there was no evidence of any organisation using men "feigning love" to lure your women to convert to Islam. However, on 9 December 2009, Justice K T Sankaran for the Kerala High Court weighed in on the matter while hearing bail for the Muslim youth arrested for allegedly forcibly converting the two campus girls. According to Sankaran, police reports revealed the "blessings of some outfits" for a "concerted" effort for religious conversions, some 3,000 to 4,000 incidences of which had taken place after love affairs in a four-year period. Sankaran "found indications of ‘forceful’ religious conversions under the garb of ‘love’", suggesting that "such ‘deceptive’ acts" might require legislative intervention to prevent. According to The Indian Express, his conclusion that "such incidents under the pretext of love were rampant in certain parts of the state" ran contrary to Central and state government reports. In early 2010, the State Government reported to the Karnataka High Court that although a large number of young Hindu women had converted to Islam, there was no organized attempt to convince them to do so. A petition was also put before Sankaran to prevent the use of the terms "Love Jehad" and "Romeo Jehad", but Sankaran declined to overrule an earlier decision not to restrain media usage. Subsequently, however, the High Court stayed further police investigation, both because no organised efforts had been disclosed by police probes and because the investigation was specifically targeted against a single community.

They should be condemned for being pussies.

Not surprised by the Hindu reaction, but had expected the Sikhs to respond more forcefully.

Of course, if that ever happens, the media, and the non-ignorant folks shall outdo each other to play Muslims as victims, Hindus/Sikhs as aggressors, and RSS's UK wing as the culprit.

" That image of Congress changed in 1905-when Gandhi was nowhere in the picture."

1905 saw the partition of Bengal (a massive province comprising present day WB, Bangladesh, Bihar and several smaller states) along communal lines by Lord Curzon.

This event saw the eruption of angry protests all over Bengal and the rise of the swadeshi movement. It also saw the rise of leaders like Lal, Bal and Pal but it took the political genius of Gandhiji to transform the character of the freedom struggle into a pan Indian movement embracing all regions, religions and castes.

More "ignorance."

"Targeted sexual offences and forced conversions of Hindu and Sikh girls was not a new phenomenon in the UK, said Ashish Joshio from Media Monitoring group.

"This has been going on for decades in the UK . Young Muslim men have been boasting about seducing the Kaffir (unbeliever) women. The Hindu and the Sikh communities must be commended for showing both restraint and maturity under such provocation," he added.

"Hardeep said that in 2007, The Hindu Forum of Britain claimed that hundreds of Hindu and Sikh girls had been first romantically coaxed and later intimidated and converted by Muslim men. "

(1) It is true that during the next few months when Assembly election in Maharashtra is due, BJP leaders will try to push for supremacy in the state and claim the post of chief minister. Here let us not forget that the alliance of Shiv Sena and BJP is an opportunistic alliance as is the case with the other alliance, of Congress and Nationalist Congress Party. In case of the latter somehow it has survived, as the two political parties have been able to retain power in Maharashtra for 15 years. (2) The toughest test for Shiv Sena-BJP alliance will be smooth seat sharing for the Assembly election. Although tough bargaining is on cards when seat sharing talks begin between Shiv Sena, BJP and other alliance parties, leaders of two major parties are expected to adopt a practical approach. But if they fail to do so, alliance may even be broken in extreme situations. In that case Shiv Sena will suffer more than BJP. (3) Of course, it is another matter that even if Shiv Sena-BJP government is formed in Maharashtra in 2014, not much will change as regards level of corruption, waste of public resources on populist programmes, schemes, etc and above all quality of governance.(4) My fear is that the coterie of politicians and bureaucrats quite similar to the one which exists today will continue to be in control of the State administration and its finances, even after a new government of Shiv Sena –BJP comes to power. That will be a great tragedy for the people of a region called Maha-Rashtra.

Isn't it amazing at the contortions Saroja mami is performing to distract from the main issue which is organized "love" affairs of Muslim men with women of other religions (primarily Hindus) with the aim of converting them to Islam? Could easily put an Olympic gymnast to shame.

She brings in every other thing, including the broader issue of rape. Of course, most rape cases involve men having forced sex with women. Then she brings in Jews eating Christian babies. How is it relevant to this discussion, unless you're trying to scuttle it by diverting the issues?

More "comments in ignorance"

Paedophile gang's abuse lasted 16 YEARS as authorities feared being labelled racist if they tackled it

The spotlight first fell on Rotherham in 2010 when five perverts – Adil Hussain, Razwan Razaq, Mohsin Khan, Umar Razaq, and Zafran Ramzan – were jailed for grooming teenage girls.

www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/rotherham-child-abuse-scandal-paedophile-4113152

The liberals in India want to recreate the liberal environment of Britain in India, where one is unable to raise the issue of love-jehad without being labeled Sanghi. Any concerns shall be dismissed as being born of ignorance or malice, with a patronizing suggestion that stranger rapes should not be the focus.

>> As usual, a comment in ignorance

One does have to marvel at the snooty nonchalance of the sickos. Earlier this poster had loftily declared that she and others of her ilk had the right to decide as to what is offensive or otherwise, and the hoi-polli like us should stick to our aukaat and be satisfied with received wisdom instead of expressing our opinion.

And now, she contemptuously dismisses the sexual exploitation, terrorization, intimidation, violence, suffering and pain of little girls and their families with a ridiculous advice that stranger rape is less common.

Few days back I had posted a video about specific targeting of Sikh girls by Muslim men pretending to be Sikh, and abusing them in depraved manner. She studiously avoided any response to that. How will that be categorized? They were strangers who became acquaintaces, then friends, and then beasts. Will you throw your book at those girls and their parents too?

Today there are reports of a very extensive number of abuse by organized gangs lasting several years. There is evidence to prove that political correctness, and fear of being labeled racist, helped perpetuate this abuse, which might still be going on in lot of cases.

Within India we have seen similar cases. Just couple of days back there was a case of a national shooting champion complaining of a similar trick being played by a man.

But like the PC crowd in Britain, our liberals are unable to bring themselves to support action against these pigs. They restrict themselves to blaming BJP, asking us to read books, and labeling our statements ignorant.

Their liberal brothers suggest that girls should be punished for stupidity, an idea, as pointed out, not dis-similar to the demands of punishing rape victims for wearing short dresses.

Give me a racist over these liberals any day.

The aim is to ensure that people are scared of raising this issue, for the fear of being labeled so. This provides protection to their jehadi brethren indulging in such heinous crimes. The sufferings of the victims don't bother them in the least. They must be punished for their stupidity.

I am grateful that the genius is expressing his solidarity with women. I suggest that he reads Susan Brownmiller's "Against Our Will - Men, Women & Rape", a brilliant study when it came out but which still missed the point that "Stranger rapes", the focus of the study is much less common than rape by acquintances.

Brownmiller's thesis was that rape was a conscious ideology by which all men keep all women in a state of siege. Now instead of ranting against Muslims, half of who are women, may be you should rant against all men. As for me, I do not hold all men responsible for all rapes.

In this forum when there were people advocating death sentence for rape, I had intervened and said that it is easy to demonise against another class and if Shiny Ahuja case were discussed, many men here would find sympathy for him, ( which some soon did...) .

Do you know about the jewish custom of eating Christian babies?

The blood in the matzo myth has a long history. In its original form Jews were accused of killing a Christian, preferably a child, on Easter to mock Christ on the day commemorating his crucifixion. Since Easter and the Jewish Pesach, or Passover, fall at the same time in the year, the tale evolved to include the claim that the Jews used the blood of their victims in religious rituals, particularly in making matzo, the unleavened bread used to commemorate the Exodus. It was also said that Jews used blood in the manufacture of medicines.

Because anti-Semitism is a secular concept and not contiguous with religious affiliation, its proponents required particular proofs to back the theory. Among the most broadly disseminated "proofs" were the notorious Protocols of the Elders of Zion and the tales of Christian blood in Jewish matzo. Although such claims have never been corroborated, their widespread currency fuelled hatred and fear of Jews.

The so-called Protocols -- of which there were 24 in the original 110-page version -- were attributed to a cabal of rabbis who ostensibly published them in 1897, with the purpose of recording their conspiracy to create a global empire subject to Jewish rule. Freemasons, liberals, secularists, atheists and socialists were variously accused of conspiring with these rabbis to achieve their dream of world domination.

There is a large body of evidence suggesting the Protocols were a forgery. It is hardly credible that a handful of individuals from a small minority should meet and set down their scheme to rule the world in a 110-page pamphlet that would be exposed sooner or later. Several experts have also pointed to a work that appeared in 1864 by Maurice Joly, Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu, or Politics in the 19th Century, which has many stylistic similarities to the Protocols  weekly.ahram.org.eg/2003/619/focus.htm

Here's a report from Britain

www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/08/26/1400-children-abused-rotherham

Children as young as 11 were raped by multiple perpetrators, abducted, trafficked to other cities in England, beaten and intimidated it said.

She also found the majority of perpetrators were of Pakistani heritage.

She said she found examples of "children who had been doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, threatened with guns, made to witness brutally violent rapes and threatened they would be next if they told anyone".

I guess this report has been published to give Muslims a bad name, right?

Here's another report on the same story

www.breakingnews.ie/world/up-to-1400-children-raped-by-large-numbers-of-men-and-doused-in-petrol-in-uk-town-640234.html

It's a bit more PC, as it replaces Pakis with "Asians". However, one thing stood out to me

“several staff described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought racist”.
She said: “Others remembered clear direction from their managers not to do so.”

And this is exactly what Anwaar jehadi, the Deoband mufti, and other similar jehadis want. Anyone raising this issue has to be labeled as a racist, fanatic, etc. in the west, and Sanghi in India. The aim is to ensure that people are scared of raising this issue, for the fear of being labeled so. This provides protection to their jehadi brethren indulging in such heinous crimes. The sufferings of the victims don't bother them in the least. They must be punished for their stupidity.

I'll say it clearly. The guys who indulge in such acts, and the guys like Anwaar and the Deoband Mufti who provide excuses or moral cover for these guys, are equally filthy pigs.

While I have no hopes from the jehadis, who support their fellow criminals, I would like to see the response of self-proclaimed liberals like Saroja, who conveniently goes AWOL when such stories are posted.
