I have observed some Indian Mulims too are carying out Khatna on small girls.

On the other hand  Sunnat-cuting a small foreskin of the male organ is a very important Biological necessity in the Sandy areas.

When one passes urine in a sandy area extremely fine particles of sand fly and stick in the inner side of the fore skin if Sunnat is not done. They sand so deposited on the soft skin causes severe itching and subsequently damage to skin if not washed immediately after the urine is passed. Not possible due water shortage .

Old wise men hence made Sunnat compulsory.

Not only Muslims but even Jews to follow Sunnat .

Biological necessity subsequently became compulsory Religious requirement.

Harun sahib

Mr Rao is just frittering away the respect he has earned all over India .

Telengana is is the most back ward State .Muslims are in dire poverty and need help rather whole of the  population needs lots  of help from the Center .

I went to Nadyal in  May 1967 for 15 days ,again in Nov-December 1967 and 1968 in May for three weeks .I stayed for special refresher courses in Engineering. City was small but very clean.People very polite and nice .But in whole of the whole City there were no latrines .
The whole population male and females used to walk hide behind the bushes which were plenty and used to relive self in open .I was one of them .

I don't think much has changed even now.Though Nandyal was the constituency Narsima Rao our ex-PM

I saw quite rich and well to do people in Nandyal but majority of them were poor .Muslims were less in numbers but were in worst condition .The worst poverty has contributed to rich harvest of Naxal boys. Even in those days I saw lot of frustation ,anger and rebelion among the teens .

In 1986- I went by Car from Bombay to Hyderabad on official duty  .Things were no better .

Now CM Rao has gifted one crore Rupees on Sania Mirza who is rolling in Billions already .

Could not Rao find any better use to spend this money ??

Even Three nice school Buildings could be constructed in some backward areas for the poor.

Meanwhile RAO is always on begging trips to Delhi for special package for Telengna which is in reality is a backward State .It is all the more imperative for the State Leaders to spend even the last penny on welfare of the poor and not pamper rich and filthy rich.

Excerpts from an article in FirstPost.

So, what he says matters and carries weight. It is important to stress this because what he has done has shocked even conservative Muslims. Nadvi has written a long and passionate letter (in Arabic!) to the Saudi government offering to raise a militia of 500,000 Sunni Muslim Indian youth as his contribution to a "powerful global Islamic army" he has proposed in order to fight Shia militants in Iraq and "help Muslims in need" elsewhere. The army would become part of a Caliphate that he wants Saudis to set up for the Muslim ummah, the international Muslim community.

He also suggested that terrorists should not be referred to as terrorists as they were engaged in a “noble cause’’ and called for a “confederation’’ of all jihadi organisations so that they could transform themselves into a single “powerful global force”.

HC notice to Sonia on election petition

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court on Thursday issued notice to All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi on a petition challenging her election to Lok Sabha from Raebareli parliamentary constituency.

A division bench comprising Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice Devendra Upadhyaya issued the notice on a petition filed by one Rajesh Singh, a resident of Raebareli.

Singh, in his petition, has raised the issue of Gandhi’s citizenship and her meeting with the Maulana Ahmed Bukhari, the imam of  Delhi’s Jama Masjid, to challenge her election.

Singh has contended that Gandhi was not a citizen of India and as such was not eligible to contest the elections.

Singh’s lawyer Harishankar Jain said that Gandhi’s meeting with Bukhari to seek support of Muslims in the polls was a violation of the model code of conduct.

The petition will come up for further hearing on September 9.

In the same surah, it is said that

"That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment, except for those who return [repenting] before you apprehend them."

Except THOSE WHO RETURN REPENTING. Those who are returning clearly means apostates who were once followers.

Maybe this surah does not refer to blasphemers and heretics. In that case why do many Islamic states, including our very own Pakistan, prescribe capital punishment for this purported offense?

Good Joke. :-) Nobody can accuse you of lacking a sense of humour.

The links between CAIR and Hamas are well-documented by American agencies like the FBI. Omar Ahmed and Nihad Awwad, founders of CAIR, have intimate links with Hamas.

"Special An official at the FBI's headquarters in Washington confirmed to FOX News that his office directed FBI field offices across the country to cut ties with local branches of CAIR.

"Lara Burns testified that CAIR was a front group for radical organizations operating in the U.S."

Possibly, but Palestinians who fight to regain their homes and their lands cannot be called terrorists. According to some reports today it is the Israelis who are targetting women and children. Israelis who are defending illegal occupation of Palestinian lands with massive fire-power are a lot worse terrorists than Palestinians. You saw some Israeli writers e.g. Uri avnery allege that Israel had planned this attack long before the Palestinine started hurling their rockets and they offered severe provocation to Hamas with the excuse that they were searching for the three Israeli boys when they had intelligence telling them that the boys were dead.

" There is no future for the Jews-only-State in Palestine; they may have to try somewhere else".

There is no future for a Jews-only or a Muslims-only state in Palestine. The future lies in a pluralistic secular state.

The Israelis have made the desert bloom and through sheer hard work, made the land prosperous. Israel has a GDP of USD 32K, which is 10 times the GDP of neighbours Egypt and Syria, a GDP that is higher than even that of oil rich Saudi Arabia.

If the Jews leave Israel, Palestine will revert to what it has been for thousands of years - a godforsaken desert and life is nothing more than a constant struggle for survival.

But this the case in the West as well, the Immigrants are increasing at a alarming rate and soon the locals will become fringe players.

May be it is a lesson for all.

Sanjay saw population as a biggest threat in the 70s ,I have been saying the very same since 90s.India just cannot afford this number of people with Natural resources strained.

Instead off working on Uniform Civil Code,a Population control act must be passed.

Modi will get support from progressive Indians.

Total live births see a dip in city, except among Muslims Another finding from the RTI data is the increased share of Muslims in the overall female births in the city.

The total number of live births in the city declined in the last 10 years, but the share of Muslims in it has gone up by a significant nine per cent. During the last decade, almost all other major communities in the city saw a drop in their birth count.

The data obtained by Newsline from BMC’s health department through Right to Information (RTI) shows births recorded in the Hindu community dropped 20 per cent, from 1.42 lakh in 2003 to 1.14 lakh in 2013. Amongst Christians, the number of births dipped 3.68 per cent, from 3,339 in 2003 to 3,216 last year. The Parsi births fell from an already low of 193 in 2003 to an all-time low of 174 in 2013.

While Muslim births accounted for 20.53 per cent (38,271 births) of the total 1.84 lakh births recorded by the BMC in 2003, their share in 2013 increased to 29.37 per cent, accounting for 51,465 of the total 1.75 lakh births in the city last year. It also registered a significant 34 per cent rise since 2003.

Noorjehan Safia Niaz, co-founder of Bhartiya Muslim Mahila Andolan, said that while more and more Muslims were getting educated, a major chunk still remained illiterate. “We logically link literacy with family planning. A lot of Muslims, especially in rural areas, are still uneducated and the trend of having more children is common in them,” Niaz said.

According to Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life, the Muslim population in India is estimated to increase from 177.3 million in 2010 to 236.2 million in 2030. The Muslim share of India’s population is expected to touch 15.9 per cent in 2030.

Dr Suchitra Pandit, president of FOGSI (Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India), said, “Culturally speaking, Hindu and Christian women prefer to work professionally more than Muslim women do. Hindu women in metros want to limit their family to one child. In Parsis, the marriage is so late that often the couples have one or no child.”

Another interesting finding from the RTI data is the increased share of Muslims in the overall female births in the city. From 18,600 (20.82 per cent of total Muslim births) in 2003, Muslim female births steadily rose to 24,821 (29.4 per cent) in 2013. Female births amongst Hindus, however, dropped — from 76.5 per cent to 65 per cent — of the total female births.

"The planning for the massive Israeli attack probably started in April when Hamas and Fatah reached their unity agreement. Israel will never stomach such an agreement."

1. Israel will never accept a pact unless all the parties accept Israel's right to exist and reject violence. Hamas has not done that.

2. Hamas entered into a pact with Fatah after years of opposing them violently, killing hundreds of Arabs belonging to Al Fatah. What caused the about turn? The downfall of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the Iranian lifeline throttled due to civil war in Syria. Hamas did not undergo a change of heart; it was just lying low.

3. Why did Hamas stockpile thousands of Iranian rockets if it was serious about peace?  How can Israel trust an accotd when Hamas was sitting on such a huge cache of missiles?

4. Will India "stomach" an accord between the National Conference and JKLF if JKLF insists that Kashmir is a part of Pakistan, rejects the Indian Constitution and has not renounced terrorism?

5. Finally, let's assume Israel planned the attack om Gaza. Who provided them with the pretext by launching missiles and kidnapping and killing Jewish teenagers?

“In spite of clear Israeli technological superiority and firepower, the Palestinian militants are winning the battle on the ground and they have even managed to move the battle to Israeli territory. In addition, the barrage of rockets on Tel Aviv doesn’t seem to stop.

"IDF’s defeat in Gaza leaves the Jewish State with no hope. The moral is simple. If you insist on living on someone else’s land, military might is an essential ingredient to discourage the dispossessed from acting to reclaim their rights. The level of IDF casualties and the number of bodies of Israeli elite soldiers returning home in coffins send a clear message to both Israelis and Palestinians. Israeli military superiority belongs to the past. There is no future for the Jews-only-State in Palestine; they may have to try somewhere else".”
