Muslims boy marries non-muslim girl, fine for muslims. Muslim girl marries non-muslims boy, heaven will fall. The muslims will be up in arms. I know Anwaar will protest, but that is the average story. Exception is there, but exception.

On the other hand, UN itself is pretty useless. Remember the great drama over American sponsored resolution against Sir Lanka?

That is right. No one remembers it. And nothing happened. THis resolution will meet the same fate.

Looks like Modi did not want to give Opposition another handle to beat him with. He took the safest route.

On second thoughts, not sure what to make of it. In one sense, voting against Israel is stupid. But since UN itself is useless, there is going to be zero impact. So what the heck?

There was a stupid vote in UN Human rights council sponsored by the great practitioner of human rights-Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

And India voted along with this bunch against Israel. Irony died a thousand times. Very stupid move by Modi.

@ DC - "Instead of wasting money on grandiose welfare schemes for ever rising population of the poor, the focus should be on creating more wealth which could push more Indians to graduate from the poor to the middle class."

Absolutely. Now that BJP is in power, we can expect a change for the better as far as economic policies are concerned.

However, parties like the Communists and the Congress, the SP and the TMC, who have a vested interest in keeping people poor, will strongly resist all measures which will facilitate growth and development. After all, if there are no poor people, who will vote for them?

When india's economic growth was close to 10%, India should have invested more on infrastructure to sustain the growth in the future. Instead UPA spent the tax money for buying votes and on grandiose welfare schemes like NREGA which could not derive long term economic benefits.

Investment in infrastructure and scrapping regulations that stifle private invesment in new businesses would be must for accelerating industrial development.

India's population is its biggest challenge and it explains why various economic indicators are woefully behind other countries. Instead of wasting money on grandiose welfare schemes  for ever rising population of the poor, the focus should be on creating more wealth which could push more Indians to graduate from the poor to the middle class.

The MP has begged for MAFI.tENDERED APOLOGY .

If some one STILL wants specially Sickulars or Muslims they still can take Shiv Sena MP to court or even Sadan Management or caterer can lodge an FIR for violation of Muslim boy's Religious rights .

I see many on TV asking for FIR.

Well go ahead if YOU so desire but in the end the young boy will be doing rounds and rounds of the Courts .Surely the well wishers Politicians will disappear once their purpose is served.

Remember the unfortunate Muslims and Hindus in Camps in UP riots. ? All the Politicians have disappeared after showing their faces on TV and meeting unfortunate in Camps.Manmohan ,Rahul and Sonia visited those inmates of the Camps. Promised all help. Did some help came at all ??

KAYA HUA ?? VICTIMS ARE STILL IN CAMPS.
TV MEDIA.POLITICIANS AND ALL well wishers HAVE DISAPPEARED AFTER gaing Political mileage and after SINGING APNA APNA RAAGAS !

Does any body now bothered for those unfortunates or even realize the unfortunate one are still in camps ??

The IRCTC should first file an FIR with the police. It is the job of the police to investigate. It is a crime to assault anyone, more so a government employee who is performing his duties. What is worse, it could also be a very serious religious hate crime. A departmental "fact finding" is not necessary because a cognisable offence is not an internal matter of the IRCTC. The duty of whoever is in charge of the Maharashtra Sadan is to file an FIR and if he/she hasn't, it is a gross dereliction of duty and must be punished.

A  couple of years ago, the manager of the AP Bhawan was assaulted by a politicial goonda in full view of the cameras. That worthy is now an important minister in the Telangana government.

Law-makers are not above the law. There should be zero tolerance for such reprehensible behaviour. Unless rogue politicians are punished in accordance with the law, our democracy will remain a deMOCKcracy.

@ JO MB - "When is this stupid Ramzan ending"

1. I strongly object. It is in extremely poor taste. Nobody has the right to insult religious practices of any community.

2. Fasting makes one aware of what it is to be hungry. It fosters empathy for those who are hungry.

3. Christians are also expected to fast during Lent. Hindus also fast regularly. Also fasting does not have any negative impact on others while it spiritually elevates the faster.

The late president of Tunisia,Hassan Bourgiba had banned Ramzan fasting saying that it leads to inefficiency during working hours. He had even banned Haj pilgrimage. Here in India such a small incident of a Shiv Sena MP forcing a piece of chapati to a Muslim is a national news through the day.Do the Muslims respect Hindu sentiments by stopping cow slaughter at least on important Hindu festival days? They are not even allowing loudspeakers on Hindu temples whiles oHindus have to suffer Muslim azaan calls five times a day throughout the year. The English media is behaving as if Sonia and not the pro-Hindu,BJP is ruling the country. This chapati feeding issue is a Congress ploy to create disturbances. One can see so many Muslims coming out of Hindu restaurants during fasting hours. That being the case this Maharastra Sadan incident is a non-issue.

you are right as a muslim rapes a 6 year girl  (Banglore) in the month of Razan and our pious month of Sawan. This is the symbol of Indian secularists who think forcibly make a muslim eat ROTI is more heinous act than raping a girl or leave non muslim childrens to die of hunger (Kerala) due to Ramzan?

I just saw on some TV THAT Mr VICHARE MP OF SS HAS SOUGHT APOLOGY .

First time as far as SS is concerned .

Boss Udhav has said SS is Hindu Party but SS respects all the Religions .

THESE ARE TWO POSITIVE GAINS FROM THE UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT .

2. Congress ,JDu and some Muslim Parties have a field day in Lambasting BJP and SS.

They can enjoy and exploit this unfortunate incident to the hilt for Political purposes. AIM IS MUSLIM VOTES .

Well they must understand that only Muslim Votes can't take out both the parties from the Dump .

BUT CONGRESS SHOULD BE HAPPY AND TRY TO KEEP DEBATE ON THIS INCIDENT BECAUSE IT HAS TAKEN AWAY THE HEAT ON CONGRESS FROM THE KATJU EXPOSE FOR THE TIME BEING.

IT IS MISTAKE OF SS TO GIVE HANDLE TO CONGRESS .

solutions.

1. Learn algebra. 2. Learn economic balance for centre: FISCAL DEFICIT- TRADE DEFICIT = NET PRIVATE SAVINGS 3. For states, TAX + NET STATE EXPORT+ FEDERAL SUBSIDY + STATE DEBT = STATE EXPENSE including debt payments 4. Items 2 and 3 are different, DIFFERENT! 5. USE more fiscal deficits = BHAGYALAKSHMI for funding all items in rupees.   shown by data in   http://pic.twitter.com/mIvjkQ18Hh

ANWAAR:

Note what is posted below by one contributor:

"The latest news on the front comes from Kerala, where, citing Ramzan fast as reasons, Government schools in the Malabar region have stopped serving food to children. Not only this, school timings have been altered as well. All this, despite the fact that Government schools impart education to students belonging to all religions, not just Islam.

According to a report in Malayalam daily Janmabhumi, the policy has been sanctioned by the Education Department and a majority of Government schools in districts such as Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasargod have complied with it, forcing students of all religions to go hungry despite Ramzan being a Muslim month of fasting and prayer.

Some Parent Teacher Associations have challenged this decision by sending a written complaint to the Minister’s Secretariat, but to no avail."

You are sitting on a volcano of Hindu anger. One day it will explode.  Don't push your luck.

" He will have to set a pragmatic course, improve the lives of large sections of Indians, avoid divisive and authoritarian politics, strengthen the Indian state without turning government into a tool of oppression and modernise a largely feudal society. No easy task."

Quite easy if you know arithmetic. With FISCAL DEFICITS renamed BHAGYALAKSHMI, the balance is  ( BHAGYALAKSHMI  - TRADE DEFICIT) = NET PRIVATE SAVINGS, all you have to do is to create and spend on commons more BHAGYALAKSHMI , an infinite resource of created money!

Obviously, managing India’s macroeconomy is crucial. And easy.

The economic balance is (FISCAL DEFICIT- TRADE DEFICIT) = NET PRIVATE SAVINGS. The economy grows exactly as much as the growth of the quantity on the left hand side. Therefore maximize the difference between the created money FISCAL DEFICIT and TRADE DEFICIT to, say, 30% GDP to grow the economy by 30% GDP. Think big!

In 10 years GDP will grow by a factor = 1.3^10 = 13.8 and poverty will be gone. Note that taxes DO NOT  PLAY A ROLE in the balance. Also note if TRADE DEFICIT exceeds FISCAL DEFICIT, the economy will DIE.

It will happen the same time practising hindus are allowed in top posts in the Congress party. Truly astounding how biased a*holes in India reduce everything to having a muslim in the works. Stupid self-defeating losers. You build a rocket to the moon, and they will ask "how many muslims were involved in the rocket building?"
