There are two ways to find out about the future. You can go to a astrologer or study history. I prefer studying histtory and that's why factual history is so important because it provides pointers about how individuals or societies are likely to behave in future.

In 1947, if you had studied the history of minority muslim rule and treatment of Hindus in India under Islamic rule, could you not have predicted how majority muslim rule in muslim majority areas will look like ? Could you not have predicted the genocide of Hindus and Sikhs that unfolded, particularly in W Pakistan ?

Same applies today. Look at past and current muslim conduct in all areas of s asia  where they are in majority to make an informed judgement about how muslims will act as ttheir numbers increase in various parts of India.

Here is my prognosis. In some point of time in future, muslims in Western UP will demand a separate state and seperate from eastern UP.  Western UP, with its border with Nepal, will become the gate for enabling infiltration of more islamic terrorists , comming from the muslim ummah, to kill infidels. Similar situation will prevail in W Bengal and Assam. You dont need to go to an astrologer for that. Study he history of political islam in S Asia and its ideology and conduct towards Hindus.

Can societies change ? Germany is no longer Nazi. Nazism was not hereditary. Islamic ideology is. Plus Germany first acknowledged its vile Nazi rule, delegitimized and stigmatized it and that helped the German people transform.Do you see any evidence of that in Islam or just the opposite ?

Amit Shah is shooting off his mouth again. There is absolutely no way to know the status of Kasmir if PAtel had handled it. It is pure conjecture on his part.Anyway for those who are interested here is an article from BBC.

The author has conveniently left out some crucial reasons as to why India did not hold the referendum. Pakistan was supposed to vacate the areas occupied by them, but that never happened.

Here is an example of the sheer thuggary and vile distortion of history as taught in India.

Among the numerous brutal chapters in the Islamic rule of India, The rule of Sikandar Butshikan in Kashmir ( early 15th century ) would count easily amongthe top 50 mass killings and extermination of Hindus.

The temple was completely destroyed by Sikandar Butshikan in early 15th century. It took one year for Sikander Butshikan to fully damage and destroy it

You may follow the following two links
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martand_Sun_Temple

then about Sikandar Buthshikan, the slayer of Hindus.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikandar_Butshikan

Now go back and look at the pitiful, dirty, cheeap Informational plaque put by archieological survey of India at the site of the destroyed monumental Martand temple, which is as massive and monumental as Roman ruins. No mention of Sikandar Butshikan.

That's how Hindus and govet of India , have enabled murder of history in India.Infact, if possible Hindus and Government of India would perhaps like to bury the temple so that no one may know about the holocaust of Hindus in Kashmir.

I am not surprised by statements like those of Sakhsi Maharaj or that by Azam Khan or the endorsement of the Madarssa comment by those on this site.

For one i can say inconsistencies are the Forte of Muslims ,but the comment by the BJP MP is swiping.

I have been a victim of dubious inconsistencies on petty issues from these blokes.

The dislike is obvious. The Madarssa need to reform is a must.

You have had to go far to find dirt on Islam! Poor hatepracharaks! Their life is a life long search for dirt!"

Dear High IQ "moderate muslim", the question is why didn't you find an indian mullah who would actually say something progressive like this. Too much to ask or are you just too dishonest to admit that Indian muslim leadership is devoid of a progressive mind set?

Perhaps you can explain yourself, or as usual spray your "moderate intellectual" islamist diarrhoea about how all of this is a conspiracy against islam and islamophobia and how everyone else is hate mongering....here, let me run the anwaar program once more to generate your response:

"Anwaar: you hindutvaadis hate islam so much that you will do anything to find dirt on islam in your low IQ, hate-filled islamophobia"

There, now you can respond and we can see how close my program matches your moderate "fact-filled debate"

Sometimes I wonder who is more demented in denying and crassly lying about the colossal genocide of Hindus ( they even named a mountain after Hindus killed ) , the biggest in world history, unfolded accross 30-40% of South Asia , resulting in for all practical purposes  the  wipe out of Hindus from entire countries, the dhimmi lSaroja or the islamist anwaar ?

Looking back, Congress played the role of the enabler for the genocide. Before partition, it made sense for Congress to argue for absolute secularism as 30% of the population of British India were muslims and a united, democratic secular India was the ideal option.Hindus after all wanted to put the 1200 plus years of minotiry, foreign rule behind them.  However, for secularism to work, the main parties , in this case Hindus and Muslims, both have to buy into it.  Muslims of south asia, killed and buried secularism not just in the 1000 plus years they ruled but more importantly , after partition. The congress should have immediately changed its political act of neutrality and taken up the cause for protecting the butchery of Hindus in muslim majority areas , as soon as it saw muslim Pakistan unleashing un-precedented killings of Hindus all over their territory with Jinnah-Liaqat acting as enablers. But Nehru/Congress kept quiet and continued to act as if nothing had happened. Having failed to protect Hindus they have been active collaborators ( along with jihadis, communist lumpen ) in lying about the brutal legacy of minority islamic rule for over 1000 years in India.

Its time for India to recast it's history in the words of the people who lived in India and what they experienced and not from the prism of invasive islamic ideology and its minority rulers.

If a muslim king plundered and destroyed a temple, massacred a population and built a masjid in its place, these thugs want us to be 'balanced' and appreciate the architecture of the masjid as the 'positive' aspects of islamic rule.  Nothing could be more vile and cruel than that.

the scots had one real chance of breaking cameron's balls and to set a precedent that political elite cannot take the public for granted. sadly though the scots have succumbed to the promises. So there goes their only chance.. the only chance which they'll regret sooner than later.

the only clear winner is.. Cameron as he gets his leverage to hammer down on EU and continue with his threaten of pulling out of the economic bloc and perhaps a shot at a second term in elections next year in the uk.

Alex Salmond must have grown a few pounds richer and some namesakes power and authority over the scots.

As always, the average peasant has lost.

There is much room of both apprehensions and aspirations in  Chian's initiative to revive the over-four-thousand-year old maritime Silk Route which has got top priority in the Chinese President Xi Jinpin government's agenda, with a view to enhance trade and business with countries along the sea route in Southeast Asia and South Asia and boost co-operation between China and various regional blocks. It may usher a new form of global co-operation in economic and technological fields along with reincernation of historical, cultural and traditional relations that these two ancient civilizations had once enjoyed. There is no doubt about it that the ancient Silk Route and Spice Route promoted the exchange of ideas, art, culture, religion and spiritualism between India and China. Besides, propagation of the Buddhism in China and arrival of Fa Hien and Hiuen Tsang, the two great Chinese pilgrims, in India bear the testimonies of Chian's special relationship with India.Even after Independence these two ancient civilizations were in good reconciliation with each other. This protracted relation deteriorated during the 1962 war over the Tibet issue followed by the political shelter rendered to Dalai Lama in India. From then on a sense of mistrust has remained thorn on the way of erecting international relationship between these two neighbouring nations. As friendship and mistrust cannot go side by side, both the countries must at first take initiative to dispel all confusions and prejudices over protracted  controversies especially regarding border disputes through discussions and peaceful co-ordination.

Though late George Fernandes, the then Defence Minister of India, once proved himself a bull in a China shop by citing China as the main enemy of India, Modi does not hold the same opinion about China. According to Modi re-emergence of the natural trading routes would make a major contribution to building a prosporous Asia in this century. But Modi may be cautious about China's hegemonic and imperialistic intentions, if it has, in the guise of building economic and trade relationship with India and other Asian nations. Last but not the least, there is much room of doubt whether the prospective relationship between the world's largest democracy and the hardcore communism will prove round peg in a square hole.

The genius Sagarika writes "Dharma or righteous administration must be rooted in the thinking of Tagore and Gandhi."

Dont know much about Tagore but as for Gandhi.............LOL!! Very funny to link Gandhi and dharma.

I read an interesting tidbit about Gandhi's character. His secretary Pyarelal wanted to marry Gandhi's neice Manu. Pyarelal naturally was upset about Gandhi using Manu for his experiments(which was pure mental torture).

So Gandhi played his characteristic game. He told Manu to lead a life of a sanyasini, told Pyarelal that he would speak to Manu about him getting married to her, and then spoke to manu's father badmouthing Pyarelal.

The old bastard played all sides.

In UP ::

Mulayam took the things in his hands .

First of all he kept Azam Khan away from the Poll campaign and thus sent a message to Hindus and Backwards Voters that he is not polarizing the Elections.

Adityanand -Sakhshi Team did the reverse.

Akhilesh went to each and every Panchyat falling under the areas where the Elections were to held. Within three months the pending works like roads etc were completed.

Mulayam seeing absence of the Maya went to dalits and gave the personal assurances that still his Govt has two years and a lot of can be done for their welfare.

Dalits had switched their loyalties to BJP in last Elections and they now switched over to Mulayam.

On day of Filing nomination he changed the Candidate and nominated a Dalit who won.

No harm to learn from Mulayam a few things.

Rename secularism. Call it ‘dharma’ or righteous administration.

It’s time for secularism to become something other than the dogmatic folly of the past. Secularism should be renamed as dharma or doctrine of righteous administration. Dharma is independent of any particular cult; dharma rises above the clashing cultist dogmas of secular vs Hindu. Dharma means not only total religious neutrality but upholding the law at all times through tough executive action. This means bringing to justice and punishing those attacking Wendy Doniger and M F Husain, as well those attacking Salman Rushdie or Taslima Nasreen.

Dharma or righteous administration must be rooted in the thinking of Tagore and Gandhi. Both were deeply learned in scriptures, but both respected religious differences equally deeply. One was a humanist with a strong sense of Vedas and Upanishads, the other was a practising pragmatic politician, rooted in sanatan dharma. Theirs is the dharma that the modern pluralist must espouse, a dharma that passionately believes in multiplicity of faiths, in confessional neutrality on the part of the state, a dharma that believes in the philosophy of Bhagwad Gita but rejects the use of the Gita for party politics.

Karl Popper:

"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them…

We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant. We should claim that any movement preaching intolerance places itself outside the law, and we should consider incitement to intolerance and persecution as criminal, in the same way as we should consider incitement to murder, or to kidnapping, or to the revival of the slave trade, as criminal.”

UP
1. There is no effective cadre-base of BJP left in UP for looong time. BJP is not even a serious alternative for quite some time.
2. Last popular state-leader was Kalyan Singh, and that was more than 20 years ago.
3. BJP base in the state was damaged in the line of Varna, among Kalyan Singh-Rajnath Singh-Tandon-Kalraj Mishra.
4. The 73 seats of Loksabha was Modi promise + relentless management by Shah.
5. In Loksabha 2014, it was BJP vs SP all over, while others claimed their shared in the pie. Thus SP was never too far in fight anyways.
6. In contrast SP has a well oiled local base all over the state.
7. A BJP that has almost no boot on the ground, pulled good show against two main players (SP and BSP) combined; and fought well.
10. On candidate selection; most of these seats were BJP seats. The people who won in 2012, without the strong party-based support, won because of personal chemistry in their constituency. They are in LS now. Were new candidates good enough to fill the shoe? Yet, most gave a good fight.
11. Unlike LS, the motivation for voter is only and only to teach a lesson to gunda-raj of SP govt. Good, but not good-enough.
12. I say, in many places BJP did better this time, than in Loksabha 2014. The 52-48 vote that went in favour of BJP amid Modi wave, went in favour of SP this time. Mind you, it was SP vs BSP vs BJP vs Congress in LS polls; but that was SP+BSP+Cong vs BJP in this bypoll.

Rajasthan:
1. fair enough that one cannot repeat 4/5 all the time. But the promise was to finish-off corruption-raj of Congress.
2. It is 9 months for this government; this is time to show some results. One can say that this is a public response to Raje govt.
3. after 4/5, congress should rather be rattled, but they pulled up some victory.
4. Unlike in UP, the field in Rajsthan is unchanged; it is the same BJP vs Congress there.

I stick to my view, BJP did better in UP, but utterly failed in Rajasthan.

The last para of the blog - Let her be..... by Satish Padmanabhan , has bewildered me badly when he asks the readers - what would be their reply if their daughters seek consent for flesh trade ?.I wish to be forgiven for being rude to the extent that should the writer be not questioned if he can permit his own daughter for doing so.?  I wonder , how can we think  of going so down , going to be so immoral, allowing our girls in the society to go for flesh trade.  Why is  this definded as crime in IPC ?   In a counry where daughters feel ashemed of going bare head ( without ghunghat ) without scarf / dupattas on their chest, would the said sort mentality not be a crime against our own poor daughters ?

It is good BJP stands chastened so early on its innings and got a well deserved wake up call. It also shows that Modi towers over all else in the party. It certainly is a set back for BJP and Amit Shah, though not for Modi who was hardly visible during the campaign. It is time state leaders shed their complacency and get down to serious work.

" While you were armchair pontificating over the atrocities on Hindus."

First, semantics. Stating facts is not pontificating. The verb "pontificate", from pontiff (pope/bishop) means to express opinions on a pompous manner.

Next, facts. In Pakistan, the population of Hindus has fallen from 22% to 1%. In Bangladesh, from nearly 30% to 8% today (approximations). In India, the Muslim population has gone up from 8% to 15%, Gujarat and Muzaffarnagar notwithstanding.

Over to you. As a trained physicist, analyse the data and tell us what can be inferred from it.

"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them… We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant. We should claim that any movement preaching intolerance places itself outside the law, and we should consider incitement to intolerance and persecution as criminal, in the same way as we should consider incitement to murder, or to kidnapping, or to the revival of the slave trade, as criminal.”

Shameless Gandhis for sure.

In Rajasthan its Pilot whoose credibility delivered for Congress and in Gujrat the vaccum by Modi s move as PM just showed up.

Congress just hasnt shown any intention to reform and change. The Bootlickers must stop giving too much to this verdict.

Modi is in charge and even if he delivers on half off what he promised,Modi will be the Man India was waiting for.

The first step will be by asking Yogi and co to just cock up.Congress has no future and may be if they delegate Powers to Pilot,Scindia and Co they will give BJP a tough fight.

I have hopes in Modi"s ability to deliver.Go Modi Go.

This is the defeat of the media too. In the name of law & order, major news channel unleashed disinformation campaign against UP government. They projected UP as worst possible state for women and yadavs as criminal caste. But obviously people's opinion is very different.

Comrades Akash and co must not get agitated by those who are celebrating the loss in UP/Raj by BJP.

It was just a message for Modi,You cant run with the Hares and hunt with the Hounds.

The mandate was for Devlopment and Progress.Yes tangible action against the corrupt from both sides.

The bootlickers will call it Political witch hunt,we the people want those who looted India jailed.Namo must deliver on this.

On Black money or the pending scams nothing much has come out as far as evidence till date to stand in the Courts.

Modi tweeted his Birthday wish ,but did not say a word on Yogi and co running a blatant hate campaign.

Those going for ISIS or indulging in forced conversions must be hanged,To paint the rest with the same brush and suspicion is Over do.

Modi looks to be in charge and can deliver he is the undisputed Leader of India.

The more I read history , the more I am shocked at tthe colossal obliteration of history undertaken by India to mask the unprecedented genocide of Hindus by the minority muslim rulers.  You dont need to quote western historians, numerous contemporary muslim historians and the islamic kings themselves have commemorated the massacre of infidel Hindus , from 7th century through 20th century.

From wikipedia about Bhamani sultans, who had a stated goal of killing 100,000 Hindus per year.

"The Bahmani sultans and the genocide on Indians - 1347-1480.

The Bahmani Sultans declared Jihad against the infidels.[103]

Every new invader of India made (often literally) his hills of Hindu skulls. The Bahmani sultans (1347–1480) in central India made it a rule to kill 100,000 Hindus (kafir - non-believers) every year. In 1399, Teimur killed 100,000 captives in a single day.[104][105] Historian asserts that "These wars were fought in the true spirit of Jihad — the total annihilation or conversion of the non-Muslims."[

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_and_war#Bahmani_sultans_.281347-1480.29

Will Hindus ever know and teach their children the extent of the genocide that islam perpetrated on Hindus in S Asia ?  Islam has not changed. There is no scope for reform as you can see it perpetrates lies  and denies the genocide. The 600 million muslims you see in S Asia including the hateful islamist liar Anwaar are the legacy of that bloody ideology and a threat to every non-muslim.

The islamist preacher seems so happy tthat he has found 'sakshi maharaj'. He is posting about him at every thread he can find.   What a fool. The islamic bigot does not know that while there are a few sakshi maharaj's in India and among Hindus, there are millions of similar zealots among muslims, as the Islamic ideology itself is based on zealotry and hate against people of other religions and the proof of it is the genocide of Hindus in every muslim majority area of S Asia while in the same time period in Hindu majority India , muslim population has increased from 8% in 1947 to almost 16% today , while muslims and islam has been busy perpetrating genocide of Hindus whereever they could.

"You exult in the glory of the Ghaznis and Ghoris and Khiljis and Tughlaks and Mamluks. You believe that those who destroyed glorious monuments have "tremendously enriched" Indian culture."

It is perplexing that some Indian Moslems( and of course, the majority of Pakistani Moslems) glorify or even identify with brutal, murderous foreign invaders of India. Then wonder why they are resented for it. They really should be taking pride in, and feeling affinity for, the Vedic age( as you mentioned) the epic age, the Mauryas, Guptas, Chandellas, Cholas, Pandyas, Vijayanagar etc. And great personages like Aryabhata, Brahmagupta, Bhaskara, Sushruta, Charaka and Panini. Not rampaging marauders from Samarkand, Ghazni, Khorasan or Mosul.

This is the same jihadi scum Sabbah Haji, who apparently never does PR spin of her own when it comes to supporting pro-paki kashmiri jihadi bigots. Such a lovely bunch of scumbags, the kashmiri muslim bigots. This paki jihadi Sabbah does not have a word against paki terrorists like Yasin Malik interfering with relief efforts but she does have a problem with newspapers reporting on stories in J&K that portray the army in a positive light.

A very paki kashmiri muslim pro-jihadi as**hole called Sabbah Haji has this to say -- this is an underhanded way to speak against the Army being given credit in Kashmir for doing their job.

"Instead, there was seething anger on the streets of Srinagar at this crass and tactless milking of nationalism." http://wap.business-standard.com/article/opinion/ajai-shukla-kashmir-floods-army-gains-where-media-fails-114091501335_1.html

Question 1: Was there any time in the past where the srinagari pakimuslim a**holes (who are really good at throwing stones at law enforcement) did not have seehing anger, so what's the big deal?

It is hight time these jihadi sh*theads in kashmir were made a minority by revoking article 370 and allowing people from the rest of India to buy property and settle in J&K.
