Rajendra Chola's conquest is breath taking. And the kind of rule he administered is a less on for everyone.

And yet................in school I did not study one word about him in the commie history books. I was fortunate to learn the facts from other sources.

Indian history these days starts with Akbar and ends with Nehru.

"" Pakistani mob burns homes of minority Muslims, kills 3 after allegations of blasphemous photo
Published July 28, 2014 • Associated PressFacebook0 Twitter18 LAHORE, Pakistan – Pakistani police say a mob has burned down several homes belonging to minority Ahmadi Muslims in the country's east, killing a woman and her two granddaughters following rumors about blasphemous postings on Facebook.

Police official Zeeshan Siddiqi says the rioting in the city of Gujranwala erupted late Sunday after claims that an Ahmadi had posted a blasphemous photo of the Kaaba — the cube-shaped structure in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, that observant Muslims around the world face in prayer five times a day

The photo allegedly contained nudity.

Siddiqi says the victims died of suffocation and that another woman miscarried during the riots and was in hospital.

Like other Pakistani minorities such as Christians, Hindu and Sikhs, Ahmadis have long been targeted by Islamic extremists.''

" All you care about is to smear people with your habitual lying and dishonesty." - Anwaar

I am interested in the truth and in exposing the canards that you seek to disseminate through this forum.

It is you who carry out smear campaigns, not me. For years, you carried out a smear campaign against Narendra Modi, making false allegations against him and comparing him with Hitler. None of your predictions have come true, they never will. India will experience what good governance is, what true secularism is, over the coming years. Your favourite dynasty and the bunch of sycophants that have hijacked the Congress and looted the country will be consigned to the dustbin of history.

No wonder you get so worked up and call me all sorts of names. Only losers do that.

"The answer, say old-timers, lies in Sonia not retreating but taking charge yet again."

The answer lies in developing state level leaders. Since the implementation of Kamaraj plan by Nehru, the dynasty had always wanted only Manmohans at the state level.

That is the root of the misery of Congress. Both 2004 and 2009 were victory of the allies-not of Congress. But this fact was lost amidst celebration. Congress did not increase its voteshare anywhere.

When the allies weakened, Congress fell with them.

However it is too early to write off Congress. BJP is not without its problems. It has no footprint in major states like WB and TN. And the law of averages would mean BJP will lose a few elections in the next 3 years. If COngress plays its cards well, it still can stay relevant---however.

But for real growth, leaders have to come at the state level.

"If Ministers' houses are bugged, then it is not a good omen"

Not necessarily. Chidambaram bugged Pranab and Pranab became President-while Chidambaram is out of job.

So getting bugged might be a good omen for the bugged-even though it may not be a good omen for the bugger. It all depends on one's perspective of life.

What a novel suggestion!!! Mehta must have raked his brains to come up with such a brilliant idea.

The thing is---Modi has already set this as a target. 2019 is the 150th anniversary of Gandhi and Modi has repeatedly spoken to stop this and ensure clean sanitation facilities.

And "pre implementation" tasks have already begun.

Mehta is supposed to be in the news business and the guy simply does not follow up with the subject he is commenting on.

" India firm on food subsidies at WTO, trade deal at risk

NEW DELHI: The government on Friday refused to yield to pressure from developed countries to accept easier customs rules without its food subsidy concerns being addressed, putting at risk a likely deal at the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Developed countries have stepped up the pressure on India saying failure to strike a deal on trade facilitation would stall global trade reforms and deal a massive blow to the WTO by undoing the work done by trade ministers at Bali.

"To jeopardise the food security of millions at the altar of a mere anomaly in the rules is unacceptable... In order to fully understand and address the concerns of members on TFA (trade facilitation agreement), my delegation is of the view that the adoption of the TF protocol be postponed till a permanent solution on public stock holding for food security is found," Anjali Prasad, India's ambassador to the WTO, said at a specially convened meeting to clear the trade facilitation agreement, which promises to ease clearances at ports and airports across the 160 member countries. '' India stockpiles food for its poor, citing the need for food security, but doing so puts it at risk of breaking the rules of the WTO which worries that the stockpiling of subsidised food can distort trade.

In Bali, WTO members agreed to give India a pass on its stockpiles until 2017, while negotiating a permanent solution.

Officials told Reuters that India had not supplied any clear indication of concessions it wanted, so attempts were made at the meeting to reassure it that its concerns, whatever they may be, were being heard.

"India clearly and forcefully expressed its concern that work proceed on all fronts, including food stockpiling, and received assurances that all G20 members are committed to the full implementation of all Bali agreements on the agreed timetables," US trade representative Michael Froman told Reuters on Monday.""

Only an Indian could write this nonsense. Indians are so used to Pakistanis and Chinese walking into their land, beheading soldiers and killing at will, and the state does nothing at all. So we find it very offensive that Israel is fighting to stop the enemy from firing rockets into its territory. The tunnels show that Palestinians are not so innocent as is made out to be. Rather than cry about an unequal war, let this writer also comment on Pakistani intrusion into India's territory and how India should deal with it.

The Katju revelations may be new for the media, but the lawyers and the middlemen have long known how our courts really function. Every judge has a son-in-law who is a lawyer practising in the same court, and judgements - when they are delivered - suit one of the two. In the other courts, the only thing that judges do is to grant dates. Let's hope that now, since the matter has come to the notice of the press, something gets done about our defunct legal system.

" his chauvinistic and regressive forays in the field of education."

1. Chauvinism and regressive education is not something new. That is one of the reasons why ISIS has so many takers in India.

2. After the damage caused by Macaulay and the Marxist-socialist-Nehruvian ideaolgy that followed it in the field of education, it is okay to expose our school children to contrarian ideas.

3. Instilling pride on our heritage is not chavinism nor is it regressive since nobody is advocating a return to some idealised past. A people who have been a subject race for millennnia need to be inspired by their heritage to cast away the last vestiges of slavish mentality from their collective psyche.

Yes, it can happen to anyone. Perhaps the Bangalore protestors, heedless of rapes in other parts of the country, realise that now. With lax laws, poor implementation and a politicised police, such incidents are only going to increase in the future. The problem of rape has got out of hand in India. Rape is the weapon to settle political or communial scores, but ultimately it is against women. Till institutional measures are taken - reforming the police, professionalising them, better implementation of laws - this problem is going to stay. The rapes and the murders will become more and more brutal because punishment is either late or absent. However, if anyone had any hope that the BJP government would take up this task, ignored by the Congress for so long, they have been disappointed.

I observe that Curfew is relaxed in Hindu Sikh area in the Forenoon and in Muslim areas the Curfew will be relaxed in the After Noon.

Better the curfew should have been relaxed in both the areas. The Hindu Muslims of Sharanpur have no problem among themselves.

IT WAS THE OUTSIDERS WHO ATTACKED THE GURUDWARA.

MUSLIM LADIES SAY OUTSIDERS ARE HIDING IN LANES AND BYE LANES and at night they come out ,burn the shops and quickly disappear back .

SARKAR SHOULD FLUSH OUT THE CULPRITS -NOT DIFICULT IF AKHILESH SARKAR IS SERIOUS.

I saw on TV Hindu Sikhs purchasing medicines, milk, vegetables in plenty to stock.

TV said in RAMPUR the seat of power of AZAM KHAN SAMAJWADI Minister -two bikes involved in an collision belonging to two different groups -safely assume Hindu Muslim boys involved in the collision .

Pistols came out .Firing took place . 3 killed and 7 injured .

Now TV has changed the version a little and says '- Motor cycle entered one field ,damaged the crop and firing took place.

TOMORROW IS EID .

Sharanpur and Rampur and are under Communal strife.

Meanwhile Gurudawara land dispute is far from resolution.
Muslims confirm that one Muslim Aksari built a Mosque but sold the adjoining area to two Hindu sisters in 1947 with stipulation that Mosque will stand as it is and area of the Mosque is out of purview of the Sale Deed .

Muslims say they have no objection for land sold to the Gurudawara but san Masjid area.

SIKHS SAY NO MOSQUE STANDS ON THE AREA UNDER THEIR CONTROL NOR ANY MOSQUE IS SEEN NEARBY THE GURUDAWARA LAND .

But the Chowk is called Aksari Masjid Chowck but no Masjid is seen or exists.

Meanwhile Sikhs took Morch on PathanKot Jammu Highway and jammed it .

SGPC Akhal Thakat has sent a team to understand the problem.

Alegations are flying thick and thin that Masood the 'Tukre-Tukre kar doonga-wala'

Congress MP is fomenting trouble in view of the bye Elections in UP .

Both Muslims and Sikhs say the Muslim rioters who stoned the Gurudawara and torched Hindu-Skih Shops were outsiders. They attacked the Gurudawara and disappeared when the Polce arrived.

I heard Muslim Ladies.Muslim men  and Sikhs saying on TV that outsiders who attacked the Gurudawara were never seen before.

In 20 years since the Oslo Accords, until 2013, the settler population is tripled. Most new settlers moved to settlements near the Green Line. The vast majority of the settlers who moved to isolated settlements more eastwards were ideologically motivated. After Oslo, the Israeli government took upon itself not to establish new settlements. The Palestinians can never uproot Israel. The PLO realised it after years of hostility and violence. The only way forward is to start with the Oslo accords.

Why do you allow your prejudices to cloud your judgement?

" The fact that even educated and intelligent BJP-ites are not offended by Dinanath Batra's ultra-saffronization misadventures is truly amazing as well as sad."

1. Dinanath Batra is entitled to the same right to FoE as anyone else.

2. He is not insulting other faiths or beliefs.

3. The books published by him are not prescribed as text books by any government. They are just for "SUPPLEMENTARY" reading. They are NOT COMPULSORY and not intended to replace text books.

4. It is termed as "supplementary LIERATURE" not as science or history.

5. During my schooldays, I was taught Homer's Illiad and Oddyssey. Mythology in literature is nothing new.

6. Some excerpts do seem over the top but unless I read the whole book, I cannot comment.

7. Concepts like television and horseless chariots did exist just as Leonardo Da Vinci's concept of helicopters and Charles Babbage's conceptual computers several centuries before they became a reality. Technological limitations need not come in the way of man's ability to imagine.

Thomas Moore said:

"I see imagination as the most important power we have. As we imagine the world, so we live and understand. But a great deal of the imagination that shapes us lies under the surface. We need to tap that underlying storehouse of images in order to grasp who we are and where we are headed."

"Though the then leaders of Opposition (LoPs) in the two Houses, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, had recorded their dissent with reasons, the committee recommended the appointment of Joseph and Sinha without a word of explanation for setting aside the objections."

Speaker can record her statement : "One of the opposition parties came begging for LoP post. It was not granted that status as it was not fit for the post. The begging bowl is attached".

D.L.Narayan,

>> "once Arabs accept Israel's right to accede, abjure violence and implement the Oslo accords."

Do you think Israel is implementing the Oslo Accords? Why do you lie so much? And when will Israel recognise the state of Palestine?

D.L.Narayan,

>> "Look who is talking. A sage whose world view is jaundiced by his faith!"

What a shameless smearer! Can you tell me which of my views differ from the views of Indian secular liberals, or British secular liberals or atheist secular liberals?

Nasar Ahmed - "Let us face the fact that in India Muslims have to pay a price to live and Hindus are dangerously and irrationally communal. There is a myth being spread by RSS that Hindus are peace loving and let the world be known they are one of the most violent religions in the world who have a leader worshipping firearms."

Me: "Are you really that ignorant? Are you unaware of what is happening in the world around you? "

Saroja - "One more example where the combatants are more perceptive about the other than the self."

Looks like our resident physicist, like Nasar Ahmed, is confused. They think that Hamas, ISIS, Boko Haram, Hezbollah, Syrian and Libyan rebels, Lashkar e Toiba, Lashkar e Jhangvi, Sipah Sahaba, Jamaat ud Dawa and Taliban are all front organisations of the Sangh parivar and t
