Apropos your interview with Salman Khurshid (“LoC incident got into the public space, out of hand”, Feb 4), does our external affairs minister represent the democratic India or the feudal one? How audacious it is for him talk about keeping the beheading incident hidden to control the public reaction! He should consider swapping his position with Hina Rabbani Khar.

Is Salman Khurshid the external affairs minister of India or Pakistan? Going by his pronouncements, one cannot tell.

 Wow! Is Salaman Khurshid representing the democratic India or a feudal India. It is audacious to hear Mr Khurshid talk about keeping the beheading incident hidden to control public reaction. Is this guy representing our democracy , the same democracy where our taxes, mines and yours gets collected to clothe, feed and fund the daily needs of the Foreign Minister whose job among the least things is to represent our sentiments? Is the FM permitted to have a different idea about such an issue than all the citizens he represents? Mr Khurshid should consider swapping his position with Mrs Khar.

Even the Pak. ambassador in India, or Mrs. Khar, did not trivialize the act of beheading more than the so called "FM" of India with his observations on what he prefers to hide.

Pakistan will get a better FM to represent their interests if we can swap Mrs. Khar for Khurshid. And India will do a lot better too.

 He is basically saying that the beheading matter should have been hushed by the army and the Secular Brigade before it reached the media!  Wow! hats off to Indian Democracy!

Even if the cost is to accept Hafiz Sayeed or his comrades' rule in the country.

This is not peace, this is surrender.

Overt pacifism is immoral. Logically and morally incorrect.
The hawks and the Doves are equally naive. Negotiations are important but letting things slide and brushing mutilation of dead bodies(or alive) under the carpet is not how to engage the other side. The de escalation that overt immoral pacifists talked about applies to both sides. It is not India alone that is anxious about escalating border tensions. Pakistan would be worried too. Event he war mongering section of it's army realises the mammoth difference in size and strength of the two armies. They aren't as stupid as the doves like to think.
That same war mongering section of the Pakistani army would prefer status quo and the gradual pushing of terrorists into our nation. Stronger diplomacy, smarter negotiations and covert operations are all options.

 So as per the minister the only problem is that the LoC beheading got leaked to the media or else the government would have hushed that up ?
