" The Knesset just elected Reuven Rivlin as the next President of Israel, and he is a prominent Israeli ‘one-stater’."

What else can one expect when Hamas is raining missiles on Israel? During hostilities, the hawks silence the doves.

Millions of dollars of foreign aid in Gaza has been misused for buying missiles and building tunnels. Hamas is an out-and-out terrorist organisation and shamelessly uses its women and children as human shields to protect their arsenal and personel. Hamas is the biggest obstacle to peace.

As long as Hamas continues firing missiles into Israel, the international community cannot exert pressure on Israel and innocent civilians, woman and children will continue to be victims of mindless violence.

HINDUS IN MURSHIDABAD ARE DENIED FOR LAST RITES IN A 200 YRS OLD SAMSHAN (BURNING PLACE) GHAT

On 4th May one Biren Pal of village Hazarpur expired and his relatives took the mortal body of Late Biren Pal to Arjunpur Samshan Ghat for cremation. Immediately the local Muslims started disturbance to take away the body in other place for cremation as burning of the mortal body is not permitted in Islamic belief. As Hindus protested and started the cremation (burning rituals), the fanatic Muslim charged two bombs and Hindus compelled to flee leaving the half burnt dead body on the pyre in the Samshan ground.

I am not a supporter of politics associated with Palestinians or Israelis. It is a well known fact that the West has created a monster in the Middle East and for decades it has been out of control. It is ridiculous when innocent people on both sides are killed on a daily basis and the rest of the world watches on. Both sides will need to adhere to - "Live and let live".

Ordinary peace-loving Palestinians will need to disconnect from Hamas, the neighbouring countries in the Middle East need to disarm Hamas and the rest of the world should put pressure on Israel to negotiate, agree and settle for peace with Palestinians directly. Otherwise this mad mayhem on both sides is bound to continue for ages !

" says that is must be metaphorically as it is difficult to physically carry files!"

Metaphorically, electronically, using peons, whatever the mode,  it is beside the point. There is an Official Secrets Act, 1923 governing such matters.

Section 5 of the OSA, covers "wrongful communication, etc., of information." Legal eagles are requested to opine whether the law has been violated and whether both the conveyor and the receiver of this info are liable for prosecution.

Not sure if even cabinet ministers have unrestricted right of access to the PMO, let alone an extra-constitutional authority like an MP who happens to be the ruling party's president.

Attributing motives to the complainant is a very poor defense. NH properties are given by the sate for the purposes of running a paper. If they are being used for commercial purposes (Tulsi's classic defense was that they were leased out a commercial rates for the purposes of furthering secularism and democracy), it is a fraud on the people of India. Swamy becomes a legitimate complainant.

I do beleive that this article is indeed right..A huge part of Arab heritage is rooted in Christianity and Judaism, just like entire heritage of pakistan is rooted in Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism. Arab nations had a large christian population till WW2 just like Pakistan was thriving with Hindus and Sikhs till Partition. Now if Islamofascists have nuked entire heritage of Christians in West Asia and Hindus/Sikhs in Pakistan, why should we be obsessed with blaming the ISIS and Taliban/ISI alone ?

Blame must go to the Liberal democracies of West which have failed to act on this and stop the genocide of christians in west asia. what are US and UK and EU doing, sleeping? They jump on the first provocation to put sanctions on Russia.. how about sanctions on Saudi Arabia, a naval blockade and freeze on all financial assets that the Saudi Royalty has parked in Wall street?

Likewise the blame for Pakistani genocide goes to the ruling party of India of 60 years (CON Party) and Indian Leftist media which thinks that Pakistan should be only for Jehadis and Talibanis.

"The present criminal proceedings have been initiated only with intent to secure an oblique political objective by the complainant. The complainant has no connection whatsoever with the issue at hand.

It is my understanding that a complainant must show a direct interest only in a civil suit. It is the right and duty of every citizen to expose criminal wrongdoing. Instead of complaining about Subramanian Swamy's "motivation", the nation owes him its gratitude for doing what law enforcement agencies have singularly failed to do i.e bring law breakers to courtt to answer for their crimes.

"The trial court while passing the impugned order of summoning have failed to appreciate that there is no material at all to establish dishonest or fraudulent intent on the part of the accused persons."

The judge has determined that on the basis of the evidence presented to him, there is a case to answer. It does not necessarily mean that the aevidence is strong enough to establish guilt. That is what the trial is meant to do.

Someone had posted a link to an excellent article explaining in detail what exactly the charges were and what must be done to prove guilt. Unfortunately, I have lost the link. Can it be posted again?

It is very interesting that when we have "revelations" of the kind Sanjaya Baru, Motormouth Katju and now Natwar singh have made, their veracity is NEVER challenged. Instead we have whines about timing, motivation etc.

The question to be asked of the Con spokies is - Is what Natwar Singh (or Katju or Baru)  said true or not? Once that is established we can move on to the other issues.

one disease that most muslims suffer from is attributing all their acts , vilest or non-vile to religion and islam. If you say , muslims have committed genocide on non-muslims, they will respond with such stupid things as 'murder is not allowed in Islam'.  So as per these morons it would be perfectly okay to kill and loot if they can find a phrase in koran or islam justifying it.

"..Most recently this has been because of a frightening announcement by ISIS that Iraqi Christians need to either pay jizya, protection money to the tune of nearly $400 per month per person or convert. If neither option is taken then offenders will be killed....Needless to say, the barbaric and vile statement that led to this exodus is as alien to Islam as the people who made it but there have been very few voices of protest, particularly amongst Muslims."

1) You need to read Koran 9:29 again: "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."

This is what ISIS is practising in Iraq and Syria, and it is what we Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and others were subjected to for 1,300 years by Muslims.

There is no need to lie to us - in the Internet age, the truth is there for everyone to see.

2) I am surprised to her from you that "there have been very few voices of protest, particularly among Muslims." Your friend Anwaar has been telling us constantly that the Muslims blogosphere has been filled with denunciations by Muslims of this behaviour. Has the CAIR pracharak been lying to us?

"We lament the refugee flows and internal displacements associated with the strife in Syria and Iraq, but compared to the people of Gaza, Syrian and Iraqi civilians are ‘privileged.’" Falk

In Mosul, Christians have been the option of converting to Islam or being murdered by Muslims. This is also happening in Syria. I don't recall Israel telling Muslims to convert to Judaism or be killed.

Where does Outlook find these fools?

Also, I fail to understand why Outlook, an Indian magazine that is read mostly by Indians, is so obsessed with what is happening in Gaza. From what I can tell, the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean media don't give a shit about Gaza even though they have much more influence on the world stage than we Indians do. For that matter, the Arabs don't give a damn either - the NYT had an article today in which they said Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries are fed up with Hamas and want the Israelis to crush it. Judging from the comments in Indian newspapers, few people in India care either.

Only these loony leftists in the West, the jihadis, and the jihadi/loony-left ass sniffers in India give a damn.

Intolerance, the new normal in the Modi yug

What emboldens the Singhals, the Togadias and other Hindutva activists to raise the threshold of hate speech is perhaps the knowledge that with Narendra Modi at the helm, they are safe, says Bharat Bhushan.

With the ambient temperature of Hindutva rising in the Indian social discourse, the question is whether Modi is letting the situation drift deliberately. He has not yet become the inclusive leader that the high office he occupies demands of him.

Batra, who has strong Hindutva leanings and positions himself as an educationist, is demanding an overhaul of the school education and has sent in a string of proposals to human resource development minister Smriti Irani.

Though he denies links with the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, Batra’s demands are being seen as an attempt to saffronise school education.

His books were recently prescribed as supplementary reading in schools of Gujarat, where the BJP is in power, and have evoked strong reaction for their “absurd and fantasy” content, which is also blatantly racist.

"The complainant has no connection whatsoever with the issue at hand."

All citizens have a connection in how a politically party, which enjoys tax-exemtion, maintains its funds.

"It is submitted that none of these parties involved have alleged any kind of misrepresentation, misappropriation or dishonest conduct of the other parties."

Is this the best defense these guys can come up with?

Congress party, like other political parties, is tax exempt. That means a citizen is suffering a monetary loss which is due to him. In such circumstances, if a citizen thinks the party in question is misusing the funds, he has every right and standing to seek legal redress.

One need not be related to the party at all. One need not have made a single contribution to the party nor voted for it nor be a member of it.

This is basic law.

>> Their population is increasing anyway unlike that of Hindus in Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc where their population has decreased steadily over the years.

Nice. Bail for Kodnani is a nice opportunity for the sickos to make fun of the terror and problems faced by the Hindus in their home countries. Probably their jehadi brethren will use the same logic to kill off a few more Hindus, and start a few riots. After all, as the sickos have told us, this is the core and valid reason for their extremism.
