Probably it is not an exaggeration to say that without Al Jazeera there would have been no Arab Spring.

@Anwaar

Yes , it is an exaggeration. People revolved because of their ground situation and suppresion.Only fools try to give the credit to twitter, facebook and even Al Jazzera instead of those who gave up their life.The media is just a tool and not a reason .

By the way, what about Al Jazeera's biased stand on Bahrain and Syria? My understanding is that you are a professonal paid commentator for a muslim organisaton. Are you paid only for Sunni themes and Shias can be conviniently ignored.

Sachin,

>> My understanding is that you are a professonal paid commentator for a muslim organisaton.

Your understanding is false and malicious. Incidentally I condemned the suppression of Shias in Bahrain on more than one occasion.

Sachin,

>>  like to know which part is false.

I did not say just false. I said false and malicious. "Malicious" is the operative part. No more from me in this thread.

I know too little about Al Jazeera to make any comment on their quality, style or anything else.
But isn't it strange and sad that a media from a region known to be least democratic in the world, is somehow threatening the media of biggest democracy of the world?
On top of that Al Jazeera is much younger than many of our own houses.
Shall we call it a failure of Indian media (mainly TV one).

Stranger thing is, why I am not surprised?
