Treachery is the only crime and folly that the Congress has not committed. Hopefully, someone will tell MMS that the warmth of Wagah candles can't melt even your earwax.

View the above youtube clip and hear the truth from the Pakistani side. The anchor admits that India will have no reason to believe Pakistani protestations that they will not ever attempt to reoccupy the glacier after the Kargil war.
The Pakistanis think that India will be stupid to trust them so why are we even thinking about it.
The only thing left to do is keep the area under continuous electronic surveillance while limiting the exposure of our troops to the cold.
Dear Sir,
You're absolutely right about Pakistan being a totally untrustworthy nation. We can do all the talking but we must keep our powder dry. Pakistan is able to recruit any number of young men willing to become cannon fodder because of their religion that promotes jihad. Hindu India does not have an equivalent to their savage scriptures but we have the brains to keep them at bay.
Why do we not have eyes in the sky like the US drones and let fly rockets on a regular basis just so that any stupid Pakistani regular will see the effect of being hit from the sky.
We should also involve our IT industry to develop a thousand technologies to combat the Pakistani people and not just the Paksitani army. We can use those desolate area within our borders to develop killer applications for safeguarding our borders.
I am not an informed techie so many of these things may already have been developed and activated. We should also develop remotly controlled night vision capability. Movement sensors are common place in the west and developing enhanced sensors must be child's play for our research institute which may also have commercial value in the future.
We have a technological advantage over Pakistan but not over China so our present advantage may not always stay in our favour. Will it be possible to have our heavy wepons or even medium guns fire everytime a movement is dioscovered along the border and directed to spots within Indian territory so that only anyone entering Indian space will face withering fire from what may well be robot soldiers.
And while on that subject why not develop robots that will stand and can be directed to return fire from a remote control point.
Yours truly
Madhav Das
A factual report. Congrats to Gen Katoch. Hope the sponsors of '' Aman Ki Asha'' read this.Remember the old saying, the leopard never changes its spots. If one looks back on the last 60 years of Indo-Pak relations, it would be clear to an average man that Pakistani ruling establishment will always create problems for us. In collusion with its '' all-weather friend'' , Pakistan will not let us rest in peace. So never think of withdrawal. We have already surrendered enough to China and Pakistan and sacrificed thousands of precious lives since 1947. Let us hold on tightly to what we have got. Those who do not know history are destined to repeat it,to quote Edmund Burke.
Agreed. India needs to be careful because Pakistan's signature on any paper is not even worth a toilet paper as Pakistan, by design and purpose, is deceitful and fraudulent to the core.
I feel I have deep regard for the Lt. General. But really, why blame Pakistan for deceit? I mean, if we fall for their deceit, it is us who are to blame. If we don't, it doesn't matter, and we shouldn't look at them as deceitful. I know, that they are seen as a military enemy. I would like us to fight them, regarding them as enemies. I think, it is possible to have as deep a regard for one's enemies, as for one's friends. I personally, have no friends, or enemies.
"War is too important to be left to the generals."
Very enlightening. Now what about this one?
"The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war".
I doubt if this carries much weight with political or bureaucratic class, because they aren't the ones who shed blood. Look at the way the entire establishment is messing its collective underwear because one politican and one bureaucrat have been abducted.
Thank you very much Lt. Gen.
Pakistan, today, is still a criminal enterprise (It was not so untill Arabisation started)
In view of International situation, it is simply trying to camouflage it's puerlie and nefarious designs and hopes to be able to hoodwink Indians as they have always been able to.
China is the most ambitious, and hegemonistic country and together the two form a vile pair-
"Ram milayin jodi, ek andhar ek kodhi"
Peace with these two can happen only when they fully inderstand that the cost of war is too prohibitive.
China maybe willing to undertand this in coming days as they are far more realistic in their approach.
Pakistan on the other hand is under totalitarian Islamist spell-there is no real way of breaking this spell-other than crushing and total degradation of ability to raise military capability.
Communism, the driving ideology of China is accepted by them to be a human construct so possible to be wrong and therefore could be abandoned-but Pakistan is listening to, as they say GOD who and whose writ, by definition cannnot ever be wrong.
Stopping them is only possible when effectively proven to be 'misbelief'.
Ordinary fruits of prosperity will not stop them.In fact it may add to the fervour.
Only when defeat and failure creates doubts in the mind of 'believers' about the absolute correctness of their belief that they are willing to question their conviction about their ultimate victory.
Pakistan can be turned back from the path of destruction only by saner Pakistanis who shall have to fight their battles from inside against the malevolent indoctrination that they have had for decades. Only they can point out to the version of Islam as practiced in the sub-continent is closer to the true Islam, only they can effectively point out that they are misdirected and misguided in their beliefs. A very long battle indeed.
Till those fighting to turn Pakistan back to saner path get a very firm grip there is no slackening. We have to be relentless, till then.
No military relaxation to be given-but all commercial and personal relaxation which help the saner elements should be extended as soon as possible.
It is refreshing to see common sense instead of the usual sentimental rubbish about "aman ki asha" in Outlook. Most Indians seem to be incapable of learning from the past - no matter how times Pakistan kicks us in the nuts, we are always ready to fall at their feet and lick their hands gratefully the moment some Pakistani politician says something positive about Bollywood or Bismillah Khan. This disease is most prevalent among cow-belt politicians who seem to feel closer to Pakistanis than they do to South Indians or Assamese.
"War is too important to be left to the generals." - Georges Clemenceau
What a perfectly splendid write-up. I have not read anything quite so down-to-earth and realistic in Outlook in quite a while now. I especially love how the Lt. General summarizes how much the Indian political class has thrown away, even though none of it was their's to start off with, in the following paragraph: It only goes on to rpove that there is very little more venal, more despicable than an Indian politician.
Lacks of strategic forethought and political unilateralism have been typical to India resulting in such mistakes as:
•Arbitrary ceasefire post 1947-48 operations with Pakistanis retreating and even without capturing the strategic Wakhan Corridor that would have forced China to look at India differently. •Ignoring military advice as also advice of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel of Chinese intentions in Tibet and against India. •Gifting Coco Island to Myanmar that is now a Chinese listening post. •Giving up the strategic peak of Hajipir Pass post 1965 ceasefire with Pakistan. •Despite 93,000 Pakistani prisoners in 1971 (highest number after World war II), not resolving Kashmir imbroglio, not even straightening the Siliguri Corridor.
