Muslims are dispensable and need not be bothered in the path of the success of Hinutva which is nothing but Aryatva. In fact many Muslims in south are not aware of this.
RSS has succeeded in promoting state violence against Muslims and turning a substantial moderate Hindus in to either extremists or Terrorists.India which has a secular constitution is predominantly a Hindu country. RSS, a Brahmin is thriving on the divisions and polarization with the active backing of police, intelligence and beauracracy.Sometimes judiciary too.Only a brave, honest and great officer like Kharare to nail these knickerwallhs. But till then innocent Muslims languished in jails for no reason.Kharare in fact apologizedMedia played its part in this mecabare scheme and continue to do so.
India unleashing terror on these innocent Muslims is a greater terror act than what the so called terrorists do.All right thinking Indians feel ashamed of these communual acts of the Govt. who use state machinary to do the job of RSS.
what is locus of Jamia teachers here? Are they spokesperson of all terrorists?
Let the governments of India and US play politics but it is certainly time for the muslims to introspect themselves.
What is the use of apology?
The victims of Govt. must be monetorily compensated as soon as possible. In fact a law should be enacted for this purpose.
Many state Govt. are immediately declaring some monetary compensation for rape victims ,if they were of scheduled casts and tribes. But this should be increased to huge amounts and should be extended to all types of lock up deaths as well.
A law should be enacted so that an undertrial's imprisonment should not be more than 5 years and once 5 year period is over the accused must be granted bail. If that were a danger, Govt.should accept its failure.
How about the people of Kashmir valley, from the prince (omar abdulla) to peon first apologising to the Kashmiri pandits for the ethnic cleansing that the majority community of Kashmir valley indulged in in 1989 ?
How about those intellectuals in JNU and historians apologising to the people of India for teaching about the false Aryan Invasion Theory all these days, when it has been comprehensively, scientifically and completely established through genetic studies that people of India of all communities share common genetic materials that makes it impossible to segregate them as invaders (aka aryans) and victims (aka dravidans)?
Let us hear about these two first...
I was going along with the this article till I saw the list provided, all but one is non-Muslim. As if only Muslims suffer in India. Sure those suffer unjustly in the hands of the state, must be given solidarity and support, no matter what is caste, class or religion. But if it is just the Muslims only these teachers are concern about; well there is a word in English for that, communal.
This makes sense. If government can elicit apology from Uncle Sam for 90 minutes, then the government ought to not only apologize but monetarily compensate people who have suffered and are finally exonerated. Md Amir Khan case was particularly very sad, the security agencies picked him up and then after spending 17 years, losing his father and his mother fighting a lonely battle, couldn't prove this man was a terrorist. Although money can't replace the lost years, it could have little salving effect on poor souls.
Having said that, Muslims need to understand that they are the single biggest source of terrorism around the world. Blame it on collective responsibility or collective guilt, Muslims are looked with suspicion all around the world for the actions of their co - religionists.
The god will punish the guilty and the rest will be devoured by the devil. If you can't weed out the terrorists, I think you will have to collectively pay for it. But yes, apology and monetary compensation will help here.
That the police falsely implicate innocents on flimsy evidence is an open secret. It is true that Muslims had to bear the brunt of their whims. That is till the govt went crazy about implicating RSS in order to damage BJP's cadre base. But, these Mullah apologists have such sordid record of defending Muslim criminals and terrorists that even their genuine cases and appeals will be dismissed by the public.
There must be severe penalties and damage suits when police abuse their power to please their political bosses. Till then, hundreds of families will be destroyed by the whims of the police-politics nexus.
Sadhvi Pragya Thakur has been tortured and in police custody for wearing saffron and her sold bike was found near the site of the Malegoan blast. How conviniently thye have forgotten to mention her, why? Or, this aritcle was only for 'self pity'?
And Teachers Association you too owe apology since long to the Indians for calling SIMI killers holed up in Batla House as victims of False Encounter and calling martyred Inspector Sharma conducting Fake Encounter .
Who is funding your Propaganda War against India ? Source of Funds can we know ? How much Foreign Funds and which Countries ? If none that will be greatly reassuring to us and will immensely enhance the value what you say .
And what type of Teachers you are that many of students taught by you are finally becoming Jihadi Terrorists regularly and take up Guns against India ?? Must be some thing seriously wrong in your teaching methods.
Nagaraj,
>> Don't forget that the other Bollywood Pathan,Yusuf Khan, alias Dilip Kumar was put under house arrest by Lal Bahadur Shastri during Indo-pak war of 1965.
That is false. Lal bahadur Shastri did put one Dilip Kumar in detention, but it was not the actor.
Why make such hue and cry about the legal and formal procedure followed in USA for SRK's immigration? We don't even allow Salman Rushdie in India while SRK was legally allowed to enter in USA?
I want to congratulate USA for not sparing the so-called VIPs in India. No wonder, there is not a single terrorist attack in USA since 2001.
One has to join the dots.Shah Rukh Khan's cousin is now the ISI chief in Pakistan.Shahrukh made a film called 'My name is Khan'.Don't forget that the other Bollywood Pathan,Yusuf Khan, alias Dilip Kumar was put under house arrest by Lal Bahadur Shastri during Indo-pak war of 1965.One can only say that it is the paronia of US to suspect people on imaginary grounds.
While fully commisserating with the tragic victims of injustice, I think that blaming the Government of India for such acts is not valid for the following reasons:
1. It is not the policy of the Government to target a person based on caste, creed, region or religion. The victims were unfortunate to be in wrong place at the wrong time. I strongly object to the assertion implicit in the demand that India is a dangerous place for religious minorities to live in or lead a life in accordance with their religious beliefs.
2. In a population of 1.3 billion, even if we assume that such cases are one in a million, there are bound to be at least 1,300 cases where innocent persons have suffered grave injustice from our criminal justice system.
3. Why didn't the Solidarity Association demand an apology from Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism against India as an instrument of state policy which has led to thousands of deaths/shattering of lives of innocent victims ?
The fact of the matter is that we have an inefficient and brutal law enforcement system in India which is something any democratic society should be ashamed of. India is a land of minorities and every geographic, caste and religious minority can produces hundreds of well documented cases of grave injustice. When there is a case of domestic theft, the servants are immediately targetted; if there is a case of violence against Dalits, the upper castes are targetted and so on. It is a knee jerk reaction of a poorly trained police force which unleashes its power on the weak and genuflects in front of the powerful, who, in some cases, deserve to be locked up for ever and more.
In the case of Shah Rukh Khan, it has happened three times. He is a well known person and a simple google search will be sufficient for any Homeland Security official to check his antecedents. This is a clear cut case of racial profiling against people of a certain ethnic and religious background.
What the JTSA should have demanded from the Government is a total revamp of the system to ensure that innocent people are not subjected to unwarranted punishment from the state. It is a tenet of law that all persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. It is only in banana republics that the police take on the roles of judge, jury and executioner.
Ashok Lal, very well said. p.s. Gandhi said long ago that our nation's greatness would be judged by the way we treated our weakest (our tribal populations, our dalits, our women, our minorities, et al.). What he said is true for nations, groups, families, and individuals. The hyper reaction that the Khan episode generated in the media and among our lawmakers versus the disinterest towards the massive injustices suffered by vast numbers of our voiceless citizens tells its own tale.
Vaibhav,
>> do u remember ur last modi bashing article(Exonerated, not endorsed)..... most of the people mentioned above were exonerated, not endorsed.
But they spent long years in prison. Modi did not spend even a day in prison. But putting that aside, let me endorse what Ashok Lal said, "These acts diminish us as a nation, as a society, sow seeds for acts of despair and end up leaving all of us less secure."
These acts diminish us as a nation, as a society, sow seeds for acts of despair and end up leaving all of us less secure. That is how the war on terror invariably pans out.
here is the answer .... hi outlook do u remember ur last modi bashing article(Exonerated, not endorsed)..... most of the people mentioned above were exonerated, not endorsed.... lack of evidence does not mean the crime never happened.... this jamia teachers shud be grateful to indian govt... had it been another country they wouldnt have been given a fair trial...most of the people here were released after trial.... so i think teachers of jamia have got the answer....
