How about the people of Kashmir valley,from the prince (omar abdulla) to peon first apologising to the Kashmiri pandits for the ethnic cleansing that the majority community of Kashmir valley indulged in in 1989 ?

How about those intellectuals in JNU and historians apologising to the people of India for teaching about the false Aryan Invasion Theory all these days, when it has been comprehensively, scientifically and completely established through genetic studies that people of India of all communities share common genetic materials that makes it impossible to segregate them as invaders (aka aryans) and victims (aka dravidans)?

I was going along with the this article till I saw the list provided, all but one is non-Muslim. As if only Muslims suffer in India.

2. In a population of 1.3 billion, even if we assume that such cases are one in a million, there are bound to be at least 1,300 cases where innocent persons have suffered grave injustice from our criminal justice system.

3. Why didn't the Solidarity Association demand an apology from Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism against India as an instrument of state policy which has led to thousands of deaths/shattering of lives of innocent victims ?

The fact of the matter is that we have an inefficient and brutal law enforcement system in India which is something any democratic society should be ashamed of. India is a land of minorities and every geographic, caste and religious minority can produces hundreds of well documented cases of grave injustice. When there is a case of domestic theft, the servants are immediately targetted; if there is a case of violence against Dalits, the upper castes are targetted and so on. It is a knee jerk reaction of a poorly trained police force which unleashes its power on the weak and genuflects in front of the powerful, who, in some cases, deserve to be locked up for ever and more.

In the case of Shah Rukh Khan, it has happened three times. He is a well known person and a simple google search will be sufficient for any Homeland Security official to check his antecedents. This is a clear cut case of racial profiling against people of a certain ethnic and religious background.

What the JTSA should have demanded from the Government is a total revamp of the system to ensure that innocent people are not subjected to unwarranted punishment from the state. It is a tenet of law that all persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. It is only in banana republics that the police take on the roles of judge, jury and executioner.
