Trust Deficit

Apropos To Go Or To Forego (April 23), lest we forget: there’s no meaning in visiting a host who, while raising a toast, might have the other hand on the trigger.

Rajneesh Batra, Delhi

India should not let this opportunity pass. It should grasp the hand of friendship extended by Pakistan, while keeping in mind the dictum, ‘Trust, but verify’.

Carefully crafted, a visit by the PM, long due, would be a graceful gesture. If the two nations keep looking to past hurts and transgressions, peace will remain elusive.

Dr. Manmohan Singh going to Pakistan ? If go he must, one can't stop him. But it would  not be  be wise to leave him alone in those bad lands. Some one should constantaly watch over his shoulder so that he do not do a repeat job a la Sharm-eil-Shiekh .

All these years the Pakis are taking the mighty American for roller coaster ride. And think of leaving  Manmohan Singh to the wolves !

"The desire to have normal relations with Pakistan has long dominated the Indian foreign policy establishment. It was a constant obsession with Jawaharlal Nehru, who took over the reins of newly partitioned India, and several prime ministers who succeeded him."

It was an obsession with Nehru and Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh. And all three have bungled the issue. The lesson is obvious-just ignore Pak. Make sure the country is secure. But there is absolutely no need to engage Pak at high levels. Under-under-under secretaries are more than capable and sufficient to handle the day to day issues. There is no need for higher officials to get involved.

For the Indian PM's, dealing with Pak has become an ego trip-nothing else.

"Nehru and Rajiv did, and Vajpayee was almost making a habit of it. Manmohan, who dreams of a peaceful and stable South Asia, also leans in that direction."

On the issue of Pakistan, Vajpayee was an unmitigated disaster. If Manmohan Singh reverts to his usual habit and keeps Pak at arm's length, we can for once be thankful and praise him.

BJP has to really look deep in why they didn't win the last elections.  People saw Kargil and Khandhar disasters in their time where they had to release three major terrorists who are still haunting India.

No matter how times Pakistan kicks us in the groin, we Hindus will run to lick their hands again.Israel only has a few million Jews but they track down and kill anyone who kills them. We have one billion people but when people come to kill us, we send their handlers mangoes.

As the British said, the Hindoo has a sense of the past but no sense of history.

Talking is always better than not talking, but it would be a mistake to raise our hopes regarding any possible results.

 Dear Fellow Indians ,

Pakistan can not and will not act against the terrorists due to following reasons

A) It is a failed state , It was doomed to be a failed state since it came into existence.

B) Wahabi Islam and corruption has seeped deep into the phyche of its people and leaders.

Best way is to make India's defences strong and have a strong detterent for all the terrorists like US did after 9/11 . Just have bare minimum contact with Pakistan .

India should do a Kashimir in Balochstan and try to get POK back . We should raise the stakes for Pakistan . It should be paid back in the same coin . There are enough elements in Pakistan who will do it for money . US neutralized Obama by overt action , There is nothing which stops us from neutralizing Hafeez saeed and Dawood by using covert actions.

Manmohan Singh should never have accepted Second term for himself . Seems that his quest for Nobel Peace price will land India into trouble. After Anna Hazare movement , Army mess , corruption scandals it seems that government has frozen and is in paralysis . If pressing domestic problems like corruption , Maoists, Poverty are unresolved , How can Government think about Pakistan ? Need to have a young leader who is not living in partition hangover and deals with this matter in a practical .

Ultimately Pakistan will be disintegrated into 3 or 4 parts . It has failed already due to the inherent faultlines which has only widened recently . Pakistan was created for wrong reasons and its future was predicted long ago by leaders like Maulana Abul Kalam Azad .

Time to call spade a spade , Our leaders should not reward Pakistan for terrorism directed towards India and show some logical thinking . Our leaders should think about protecting India from nuclear threat by thinking ways to get hold of nuclear weapons .

Think Chanakya and stop irrational peace talk with Pakistan ,

Think of all those innocents who got killed in direct and proxy wars with Pakistan .

Think of all those soldiers who laid their lives ,

Think of all those families and loved ones of ordinary citizens and soldiers who are living with the loss of loved ones till now .

Had somebody close to these leaders had lost lives , we would be hearing something else from them now .

One simple question for every peace loving individual including me:

What is the fundamental reason for the creation and existence of Pakistan?

Hatred for Hindus. Thats it

Pakistan owes its existence to this bonding based on hatred

The day the hatred goes there wont be any reason for the existence of a Pakistan

Bharat will be reborn
