I think Sri Lanka is taking heat for its treatment of Tamil civilians more than for its treatment of LTTE cadres.
Though the Indian govt and army offered support to Sri Lankan Tamils initially, they realized that the LTTE monster they have created is like the American created Al Qaeda. In what way LTTE is different from Palestinian or Kashmiri militants or Taliban? Terrorism of LTTE is quietly being overlooked. Being a Hindu is no way to gain special status or sympathy at UNHRC.LTTE Hindu terrorists pioneered the art of suicide bombing that was later copied by Islamists. After all terrorism is not exclusive to Muslims.
