Mr Katju, do the investigation and proceedings have to follow YOUR DICTAT ? It is better to keep what YOU COULD GATHER for later use, if required. How do you know if the thing was NOT a sting operation, or a trap orchestrated by vested sections in media ? Is there something more than meets the eye in the selective targeting of some persons ? It has come to be known that several members cutting across party lines witnessed the said video clipping. How do YOU KNOW Mr Katju, if the video clip was not sent by one your journalist friends ? As a society we tend to abuse power for deteriment than to use power for betterment. With a few saints in between, by and large power corrupts us way too much, and I am not even talking absolute power just some power. Our elected representatives think of themselves by and large as elected monarchs, our public servants think the public is their servant, and our police behaves as colonial as it gets. BTW, the judiciary isn't immune to this either. To start - first we must get rid of use of the term VIP, VVIP and V*VIPs. As much as I don't like bans, these deserve to be banned. Secondly, get rid of the "laal bathi" - limit it to only 5 positions in the country ought to get this - pick those and no more. Third I would like civil society to stop using politicians and public servants, etc. solely as chief guests. Diversify into all sections of our society.
