The failure of the media to pick up and report on the tremors of anti incumbency in Uttar Pradesh is one of the surprises of this election.

"In all likelihood, policy decisions on economic reforms will slacken."

Again the cry over economic reforms. May be I am the idiot here. Will some one kindly educate me what economic reforms were carried out between 2009 and late 2010 when the govt had full power and was not a lame duck govt?

Are you joking? Did you mean that this pathetic government was not a lame duck government from 2004 till late 2010 and off late it has become lame duck?

Who wins or loses is a little consolation for concerned citizens. All that they demand is that political parties should ensure good governance and that they should deliver performance on the development agenda. If that requires tough, not so popular, decisions need to be taken, the parties should not shy away from doing so. Unfortunately, this is not happening. Therefore which party wins become totally irrelevant.
