while on other hand we redraw the constituencies based on population. Those doing good in population control has to face direct loss.

The CM is stating a simple, indisputable fact. Funny that the politician felt that it needed a lot of courage for him to state this fact. Funnier still, is your attempt to portray it as a controversial statement and as an attempt to saffronise society.

 Congress is hell bent on pampering muslims for their vote bank ,they will never bring population control bill.They have ruined the country beyond repair.

I must salute Mr. Chauhan for his clarity of thought which is equivalent to patrotism of highest order.INDIA MUST CONTROL ITS POPULATION.IMMEDIATELY

Finally, here is one leader who is speaking the truth. Without popualtion control, India can't progress. We will fall to bottom among world nations. Every educated Indian must work towards this goal and do every thing possible to increase the women education, late marriages and fewer children irrespective once caste or religion. I read Forty-two year Hyderbad  M.P. Mr.  Owaisi had six children on his web page. We should demand our leader lead by example not baby making machines.   

 Shri Shivraj Chauhan who has 2 children is in a better position to  traverse this path. At least,he is not like lalu and other hypocrite  politicians  who preach one thing and do exactly the opposite. . So long he does not follow Sanjay Gandhi's harsh mehtods of family planning he should be supported.The single biggest problem facing our country is population growth in the last 60 years. Poverty, pollution, poor health/education   are all linked to this.

Coming from MP, i was happy to see adverts by Chauhan's government on the benefits of keeping low population. However, these efforts are like a drop in the ocean when we see the central and other state governments knowtowing to the religious groups who oppose family planning citing thier religion.

It is the HYPER REPORTING of alleged rape by the media that started the paranoia that rape is the number one issue there. A 'non-epidemic' that other feminists then work on to further their own anti-male interests.

Chouhan should pay more attention to infant mortality and rape epidemic in his state and less attention to saffronization, but I must applaud his emphasis on family planning.

 All muddle headed and dictatorial thinking. This is typical socialist thinking. Government has no role and business of population control.

But population explosion is a problem. So how to tackle this? Think logically and one would find that economic freedom sorts out the population problem. In essence population growth is inversely proportional to level of freedom in a society; especially economic freedom. 

Go look for an ecomically well off person having more than 2-3 kids. So Shivraj Singh Chauhan's argument does'nt hold; he should concentrate on economic growth and leave the population issue to individual choices.

Accountability and Number of years of Govt, comes into MSM radar only for BJP Govts. It'll take another Term just to clean up the Mess Congress has created for 5 decades.

 I agree to CM Shivraj S Chouhan , there are couples who have 8 children and don't wanrt to adopt any contraceptive methods .Sometimes it is due to they just don't want to change there attitude, sometimes due to some religious factors .I still remember one day in one of this health camps where a lady came and threatened DM of the district that if she coerced her, she would be doing  against her community.I think educating and not only making literate but also making them mature individuals is need of the hour.

 Shivraj Chauhan should be completely appreciated for his bold stand and bold views on population growth. And it looks like Outlook is having a hidden agenda to defame any state government that is not ruled by India's grand old party.
