People to label 'love jihad' as non-existent in the face of mounting evidence, and call its opponents anti-national can never be prepared to fight Islamic terrorism. They in fact are the covert supporters of jihadis.

>> Shashi Tharoor's Open Letter To PM Modi

My open letter to Shashi Tharoor (a short one)

Dear Shashi,

Congratulations on being one of the few Kaangressis to win your Lok Sabha seat, one of the very few ministers to have the guts to contest, and probably the one among them to win. I see you from time to time on TV, and now, giving unsolicited advise to the PM. In this season of unsolicited advise, I thought, why not me? So here goes.

Do you remember your ex-wife, Sunanda? Soon after she started dating you, she received a sweat equity worth Rs 70 Crores for an IPL franchise. Some time later, a Paki journalist claimed your love for her, with your lame excuse that your account was hacked, and soon after that your wife dies in what was called an "unnatural" death.

In any other country, the wife of a minister dying in mysterious circumstances, soon after the weird controversy would raise huge issues, and become a big media circus. Even in India, any ordinary person would have been immediately arrested, and investigated. Had it been a BJP politician, the Barkhas, the Arnabs, and the Rajdeeps, etc. would have held a 24 hour media trial, and Vinod Mehta would have been giving his drunk opinion.

Astonishingly, none of that happened. You didn't bother to even display a little bit of grief, preparing for elections soon after, and now, being jobless, writing meaningless letters to PM.

My humble suggestion to you is to develop a little conscious, and shed a few tears, even if they are crocodile tears. Be more focused on 15th Jan, the death anniversary of your wife, instead of 14th Nov.

Extremism must be fought with utmost thoroughness. Peaceful citizenry must be protected from these jehadis.

Somebody mentioned that this Imam is a Sifi Muslim.  If that is true, it is not surprising.  Sufi and Ahmedias are known to be moderates, hence they are pretty much arch enemies of Sunni extremists.  I will not be surprised if there is a Fatwa on this Imam's head.

Shashi Tharoor's Open Letter To PM Modi

I am sure you recall his name, since in the past you have said it has been used too often: it is Jawaharlal Nehru. (Like me, you are not overly fond of titles, but for the record, he was generally known as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, hence "Panditji" for short.)

I mention Jawaharlal Nehru because in just a couple of months, on November 14 to be exact, we will be reaching the 125th anniversary of his birth. As you know, we are a country that is very fond of marking anniversaries. We commemorate births, deaths, events of various kinds. Normally, the 125th birth anniversary of a nationalist leader who fought for our independence, graced the high office that you now hold, and guided the destiny of our country till he passed away on 27th May, 1964, would be the occasion for a major national commemoration. I am sorry to say that I see absolutely no sign of any such intention on the part of your Government.

Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was, I am sure you will concede, unrivalled as an architect of modern India. I have not forgotten the other great icon you have been lauding of late. Again like you, I am a great admirer of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and his role in merging the princely states into the Indian Union -- and his setting up of the administrative structure of independent India -- is unquestionably of great value. But the great Sardar passed away in 1950, and his impact on our country was therefore limited by comparison with that of Nehruji, who helped shape our nation's foundations for another fourteen years.

Jawaharlal Nehru was no ordinary political leader. An exceptionally gifted writer and speaker, he authored some of the most remarkable books on Indian history and politics. He was a thinker, a humanist, a passionate democratic socialist and internationalist, and a statesman respected around the world even by those who may have disagreed with him. With his rationalist and liberal worldview, his scientific temperament and his faith in modern industry, he was very much a man of the 20thcentury, whose vision laid the foundations for a progressive India.

This how it started with Advani and other seniors in BJP.  First the party disagrees with what they say, then redicule their statement and then end.  Diggy Boy and Dwivedi are at the 'redicule' state.

"A Kashmiri would never vote for fascists." Abdul Gani Bhat

This is true. Kashmiri = Muslim, and no real Muslim believes in the legitimacy of manmade laws and institutions like democracy and voting. We believe in sharia. This means an Islamic state ruled by wise imams and mullahs in which kaffirs are protected as dhimmis for their own safety.

A 71 year old Hindu in Kolkata, Mr Sanjay Mitra, has been observing roza (fast) for 21years during the month of Ramzan. This is his protest as an individual against the demolition of Babri Masjid, and an expression of shame on behalf of the majority (Hindu) community.

The narrative of love jihad

As if their vilification and demonization was not enough, Hindutva forces have now weaved a new narrative around Indian Muslim youth that they indulge in “Love Jihad”.

The origin of this slanderous narrative, referring to an alleged Muslim plot to convert young Hindu girls to Islam by having Muslim boys entrap them in love affairs, can be traced back to Kerala wherefrom it travelled to Karnataka in 2007 in recent times (Although it finds its origin in 1920s Hindu mobilization as well).

Authorities in both Kerala and Karnataka eventually denied that such a plan existed. But the fact that it was actually investigated through a judicial intervention gave a huge boost to the idea that love jihad might be a real strategy.

The mantra of Love Jihad is yet another attempt to vilify Indian Muslims already reeling under tyranny of obscurantist Hindutva forces. The magnitude of the problem can be gauged from the slander & mudslinging thrown at this largest minority by surfing through “readers’ comments” to news/columns published in on-line Editions of national & regional newspapers. While it is generally believed to be a handiwork of computer - savvy Hindutva brigade, known as inter-net Hindus, the concerned newspapers are either sympathetic or helpless before them as their own in-built policy of “moderation of comments” is rarely invoked to block the muckraking. And all this does not augur well for India.
