Apropos the item The Drowning Glory in Krishna Prasad’s Delhi Diary (Feb 13), 20 years after reforms, the glass is 99 per cent full for the one per cent; and one per cent full for the remaining 99 per cent. Regarding liberalisation’s success, it depends on who succeeded. Industries may collapse, flights get cancelled, human development indices lurk near the bottom, but at least our Ambanis succeed in getting themselves into lists of the world’s billionaires.

Only through this Delhi Diary, i came to know about new editor in chief of Outlook. It seems people who are in the business of exposing scoops live protect their territory with secrecy.

I will say, it is an unceramonious exit of Mr. Mehta. Problem is no journalist would like to go deeper into the story. Why?

H.L. Mencken , whoever he was, seems to me a  super kind of  bloke. He seems to have foreseen the Indian news channel editors.  Don't you , busters, feel the same like sending  some thing by the same mail , seeing Arnab Goswami screaming non-stop, pointing fingers , throwing his hands, jerking shoulders, cutting down mid- sentence  big time editors, top  lawyears , scientists, army generals , least but not last these unfortunate creatures called spokespersons to size, uttering last word on every thing or everyone  be them Salman Rushdie , Salman Khurshid or Salman Butt, or Salman Khan !

"In an Oceania of banned books, essays, plays, movies, documentaries, art shows, TV skits and websites" - that is overstating the fact Mr. Krishna Prasad. They have as yet not banned whole goddamn internet.

And having said that I must admit "Tongue in cheek, you could argue that the latest slight is proof that those who live by lawyers are destined to die by them." is rather a good one.
