Your interview with Amarinder Singh (‘We are not likely to fall short’) is a joke: when the Akalis put a family member forward, it’s feudalism, when he does it, it’s because his son is ‘popular’. Question is, wasn’t Raninder made party candidate then too only because of papa? The only one today who inspires confidence in Punjab is Manpreet Badal.

Amrinder is a man too clever by half. When Akalis do it, it is feudal. When he does it, it is because his son is so popular with the masses, even if he lost. The cogent question to ask would be wasn't Raninder selected as the party candidate solely due to his papa. The man has a laundry list of corruption/criminal charges against him and/or his close assosciates. The only one who inspires any confidence is Manpreet Badal. If punjabis do not elect him, it will be more of the same. Akalis/Congressi, same person with just a different mask.
