Narendra Modi is vindictive and ruthless (The Cop With the Key, Oct 17). He’s proved this once again with the way he’s hounding ips man Sanjiv Bhatt. Modi, who has PM ambitions, must know that this isn’t the sort of leader the nation looks forward to having.
Arvind Kumar, Leicester, UK
Modi has been maligned by the media for nearly 10 years. Under such an onslaught, anyone else would have given up politics altogether. But the man has chosen to let his work speak for him, bringing tremendous development in Gujarat. The days of dynastic Congress rule in the country are coming to an end.
Arun Prasad, Chennai
If Bhatt “reportedly has in safekeeping papers, reports and messages of those crucial days of February ’02, evidence the government admitted to destroying”, why didn’t he present it to the sit when it questioned him? In fact, the sit had found his accusations phony. If Bhatt has a key, there’s no proof yet it works.
Maha, New Jersey, US
Mr Bhatt is indeed facing a very powerful ENEMY , with enormous might and power of the State which Mr Modi can misuse to any extent, besides the state police and the bureaucracy can be counted as Chief Minister Modi's slaves/bonded labbour. However, if TRUTH and JUSTICE is on the side of Crusader Bhatt it will be a DAVID AND GOLIATH COMBAT, the final outcome is already decided.
Irreverent,
>> I was comparing the moral-deficient crusade of those protesting Bhatt's arrest with Anna's crusade.
While neither of them is morally deficient, those who protest attempts to silence Bhatt are not running any crusade. They have registered and are registering their protest well (only today AIDWA has petitioned the Home Minister to intervene in the arrest and detention of Sanjeev Bhatt by the Gujarat Government). But to compare this to the anti-corruption movement is senseless.
>> "You are comparing Bhatt's arrest with Anna Hazare's movement?" - Anwaar
I was comparing the moral-deficient crusade of those protesting Bhatt's arrest with Anna's crusade. Bhatt apologists failed to sustain their movement becasue deep inside, they know the truth of Bhatt's propaganda. But, something even as simple as that would not seep through the rhino-skin that envelops your brains.
>> What happened to all those jokers protesting against Bhatt's arrest!?!! They are nowhere to be seen now. This is what happens when there is no moral fibre to bind a cause. In contrast, Anna Hazare's movement continues...
You are comparing Bhatt's arrest with Anna Hazare's movement?
What happened to all those jokers protesting against Bhatt's arrest!?!! They are nowhere to be seen now. This is what happens when there is no moral fibre to bind a cause. In contrast, Anna Hazare's movement continues with unabated support because it is well-meaning and moral. The sickulars have lot to learn from him.
Ok guys Bhatt is a ISI agent.Hang him.Modi is pure as milk,Make deity of him.
smruti koppikar,
pls see the supreme court statement when SIT asked permission to release its finding about bhatt.....why any national media did not show that to people of india.....pls check link
http://deshgujarat.com/2011/10/12/sit-finds-bhatts-allegation-baseless-but-cant-make-facts-public-as-sc-refuses-to-give-node/
No one would have been chased, hunted and maligned by false propaganda for ten long years.
Anyone other than Modi would have left politics long back; despite all these, here you have a great man who developed his State in all fronts.
Things are changing; the dynastic rule of the most corrupt and communal party (of course Congress) of India is nearing its end.
Wish for the good things to come.......
BHATT, an IPS OFFICER who would be aware of the rules on hiding evidence, and filing affidavit after 10 years when he was refused promotion/ choice posting deserve to be in jail- at least for "hiding evidence" for 10 years.
A question to all the "secularist" for whom Mr BHATT has become the latest "heart throbe". Will this SECULARIST who claim Mr MODI's culpability based on BHATT's affidavit, absolve Mr MODI if Mr BHATT were to withdraw his affidavit?? The "blackmailing IPS man" can just even do that too.
Smruti Kopikar and her elks live happily in a make believe world of Wishful Thinking.
even if v ignore multiple crimnal cases in the past(like murder, abduction etc) in which evn HC have refused to grant him any relief, there are several othr departmental enquiries n scam related cases gng on agnst bhatt..it to b also noted that evn NRHC hav found him guity of planting narcotics n framing innocent. all the crimnal cases agnst bhatt are b4 modi's tenure.most amusing part in this article is dat Ms Smruti expect him 2b possessing some evidences which he wud hav nt shared wid amicus curaie,SIT or nanavati comsn(haha)..also, d very fact is dat his boss sreekumar in his affidavit in SC(during 2008) has categorically ruled out of bhatt being there in 27th feb meeting :) also,SC itslef refused 2 take bhatt affaidavit on record n showed its faith in SIT thru der last judgmnt(thgh bhatt had made serious allegations agnst them)..bhatt nexus with cong n tessta n gang is established thru documentary evidences n dat leaves nthg 2 doubt dat he is politcal pawn of cong with a crimnal history. documentry evidences presentd by guj police during bail hearing makes it vry lear dat dey r vry strong case agnst bhatt n how he armtwisted pant in his dirty game
>>Due process is of the utmost importance even if it leads to wrong conclusions.
The conclusions are reached AFTER due process. Since you habitually reach to conclusions before it, your respect for due process is totally hollow.
RSM,

Due process is of the utmost importance even if it leads to wrong conclusions.
>>They were contested but not discredited.
>>So much for court verdicts.
No, so much for his respect for due process!
>> They were contested but not discredited.
So much for court verdicts.
>> "They were contested but not discredited." - Anwaar

Sangeetha,
>> I was refering to those who were quoting those reports even after they being discredited.
They were contested but not discredited.
>> "What kind of dharma is that? Why shouldnt these statements enervate hindus and if they turn communal, whose fault is it?" - Sangeetha
Don't ask such questions. You will either not get a clear answer (see Anwaar's response!!), or will be branded communal. These jokers have no understanding of morality, nor a sense of shame for what their fellows do in the name of religion. They expect the entire planet to pander to their 'understanding of dharma'. Till then, we have no respite from such religion-based fanaticism.
Anwaar,
No. I was refering to those who were quoting those reports even after they being discredited :)
>> whether a kerosene stove could flame up a train bogey...
Are you referring to the Banerjee Commission report or the Tehelka report?
If this IPS guy ( most of them are thoroughly corrupt, and out right dishonest ) is honest and if his so called "evidence" of high level meeting and Modi's purportedly actual words were to allow "hindus" to do whatever they wanted to do , then it means the end of political career for Mr.Modi if not an outright jail sentence for him.
If this could be the comeout , who will not be interested as a politician? Congress who always plays dirty politics would be much more interested than any one on the face of this earth. Congress party politics has become so dirty that Karunanidhi's shawl , looks much better and clean.
There is a chance of foul play here but we as a nation must allow Bhatt to show what evidence he has and until then central government should take the responsibility of providing security to him, to his wife and family.
Dear Zafar,
Whether Bhatt is honest or not may be unimportant, but whether a kerosene stove could flame up a train bogey and incinerate and fry alive ~60 members - as some one on these forums tried to adduce to to defend loathsome hatred - is true? What kind of dharma is that? Why shouldnt these statements enervate hindus and if they turn communal, whose fault is it?
[Now that a honest Hindu has chosen the path of truth ,the Muslims must Question themselves ,do they deserve this from Bhatt.]
"Wrongone", he is doing his duty, that is is dharma.
Whether any Indian Muslim has done his or her duty to the country or not? Well, I'm sure you have detailed files on us all and can answer the question.
Ms Koppikkar is an agent of Cong I and she is running for next Padma Sree in the lines of Barkha Dutt.
WIll Ms Koppikar do research on the recent death of NC worker in Kashmir? Stop yellow journalism now Ms Koppikar and Co.
I am not sick in my head to get carried away by bias.Like most bloggs have been making out in the Bhatt case.
Yes a man who stood up for his convictions in Gujrat is today being hounded for standing up for the truth.
So many insane heads on this very site called the stupid Cop a stooge of antiNationalists and an agent of terror groups.
My Question now that the IPS Officers have woken up to the way Bhatt has been wronged by Modi Govt, are these mentally displaced heads going to brand the entire IPS force of the Gujrat Police to be antiNational and agents who are on the pay roll of Congress and jehadis.
I repeat India has been sadly divided on Plain Communal lines,Gujratis have been blinded by the campaign of hate in the land of Mahatma.Spilling blood of its own using State connivance in 2002 is no different to what has been going on in Arab World.
Yes the Muslims i tell you will never find a single soul like Bhatt who will stand up for the truth ,even if it puts his future and family in risk of being destroyed.
Bhatt has been victimised ,those who are out in full force trying to scuttle truth must know the curse of Bhatts family in agony will not go unanswered.
Bhatt has been dumped by his very own for standing up for his convictions. The pathetic State of Gujrati mindset has been exposed.
I still call the man stupid.Do the Muslims deserve this from Bhatt.Muslims have Abdullahs in Kashmir to show off.Pathetic.
>>>> "Now that a honest Hindu has chosen the path of truth ,the Muslims must Question themselves ,do they deserve this from Bhatt." - Wrongone >> One can trust the self-styled sickulars to invoke religion in every argument! Referring to Hindus or Muslims is not the same as invoking religion. The comment did not allude to either Hinduism or Islam.
>> Yes. It is called LacKEY!!
Brilliant!!!!!
>> "Now that a honest Hindu has chosen the path of truth ,the Muslims must Question themselves ,do they deserve this from Bhatt." - Wrongone
One can trust the self-styled sickulars to invoke religion in every argument!!
>> "Bhatt may have a key" - Maha
Yes. It is called LacKEY!!
" But Bhatt could be more dangerous because he reportedly has in safe-keeping papers, reports and messages of those crucial days of February ’02; evidence the government admitted, in June this year, to destroying."
Interestingly Bhatt did not present it to SIT when they questioned it and SIT found all his acusations phony. Bhatt may have a key, but so far there is no proof that it works. Koppikar's article is a typical Congress lacky optimistic article that does not have any evidence to back it up.
clearly a paid up news from a cheap journalist ,so many facts have been obscured.
The more they make unproven allegations against Modi, the larger he becomes. In a country full of pseudo-seculars, he is a true secular. Babloo, the brilliant one, predicts that we all will have the fortune of seeing Modi as our prime minister.
Amen. Amen. Amen.
Regards,
Babloo, the brilliant one.
Bhatt has put his head on the block.Even though he has gone by his convictions he was better off keeping off this.
Bhatt has chosen to stand up for the victims of riots in Gujrat 2002 ,knowing well about how the State is polarised.
Now that a honest Hindu has chosen the path of truth ,the Muslims must Question themselves ,do they deserve this from Bhatt.
My heart goes to Bhatt.
<< Outlook should immediately withdraw writers like koppikar before losing credibility. >> RAJESH
Is there some kind of a WATCHDOG who can control the sincerety and integrity of this kind of journalistic. She has obviously flouted the basics of objectivity and sincerity. She has shamelessly overlooked the facts that are available in the public domain, and churns out a biased and flawed story.
Outlook should immediately withdraw writers like koppikar before losing credibility. OUTLOOK you do not need such articles to sell your business neither such anti-national people to write for you.
Congress is spending too much money on propaganda and false cases instead of focusing on national development and cleaning up the party (that would mean terminating everyone from party). well if that is what is needed for nation to propser, so be it.
Modi has lost his mind and this is his true colour. He is far too vindictive, arrogant and ruthles. these are not the signs of a leader we are looking for in our next PM.
People like Modi will be victim of their own success and methods as these people tend to forget that - Nothing comes free.
Cost of few mindless act by Modi has alread cost him even a consideration for being a candidiate for PM.
<< But Bhatt could be more dangerous because he reportedly has in safe-keeping papers, reports and messages of those crucial days of February ’02;>>
Ms Koppikar please do some research. These so-called papers are not destroyed. They have been available to SIT. So nothing new is going to come out. Only your bogus report falsely intigates simpletons who read no more than The Fascist Manifesto of the World Terrorists.
>> "Bhatt had told Outlook in April, “They are trying to break Pant, threatening him, digging out stuff like how he owns a four-wheeler etc.”" How many witnesses will the Gujarat government threaten and cajole? How much testimony will they want withdrawn or altered?
>> "This then is not a simple case of penalising an errant officer; it’s a vindictive political battle between Modi and Bhatt, the man who knows too much. “Next to Haren Pandya’s information, Bhatt’s evidence and papers are the most damaging evidence against Modi’s role in the riots.”....Bhatt could be more dangerous because he reportedly has in safe-keeping papers, reports and messages of those crucial days of February ’02; evidence the government admitted, in June this year, to destroying"
This makes Bhatt's safety a major issue. His wife's concerns are fully justified.
As Ms Koppikar goes about manipulating basic facts, let us put the record straight.
CHARGES AGAINST BHATT: PANT FIR
On 16 June Bhatt, together with some Congree Politicians, threatened and coerced Pant to sign an Affidavit regarding a meeting called by the Gujarat CM Modi on February 27, 2002.
NEXT DAY, Panth filed a FIR against Bhatt regarding the circumstances Bhatt had forced upon him to sign a false affidavit, without even reading it.
The Affidavit Panth was made to sign was basically false because on the said date when Modi had called the meeting regarding 2002 riots, Panth was ON LEAVE IN MUMBAI. Besides Panth had inserted on the Affidavit the text NOT TO BE USED. Yet Bhatt misused the affidavit.
Police is required to investigate Panth's FIR within 90 days. Yet Bhatt failed to cooperate with the Police and ignored all the summons sent to him for questioning.
Police is fully justified in arresting Bhatt.
Ms Koppikar shows who is buttering her cheap bread.
ON 2002 MODI MEETING: Why he failed to disclose his information for almost 10 years and when the incidence has already been investigated by the SIT. The HC has passed order on 12th September 2011 after considering the SIT reports and the Amicus Curiae’s comments thereon.
ON PANTH: On 16-06-2011 past midnight Bhatt coerced Panth to make an affidavit. Immediately next day on 17.06.2011 Panth filed an Affidavit complaining how he was duped by Bhatt.
ON PANDYA CASE: Why Bhatt failed to disclose his information when CBI was investigating the case. Why is he disclosing it now when the High Court is investigating his complicity in atrocities on hundreds of people at Jam khambalia in Jamnagar district ?
They try to nail a BJP CMs in riot, fake encounters, custodian deaths, corruption but somehow Congressi or its ally gets caught. Latest being Omar Abdullah.
where is the dancing Dame- God Mother of Reddy brothers- Sushma Aunty, who blah blah ed about some whistle blowers act in the parliament. And where is that - Permanent PM - in- waiting, Mr LKA, who was shouting from the parliament roof top about some bloody whislt blowers act.
They should make a call that Cheap Monster of Guj and expalin him.
@Smruti Koppikar
are you still in 8 th grade ? No research, no critical thinking, just write as SIR/M'dm told you. For example, Guj govt has all the records/evidence related to 2002 riots, Guj govt has destroyed the other records that are NOT related to 2002-riots trials.
http://www.indianexpress.com/news/crucial-records-regarding-gujarat-riots-inta/812185/
Btw, your forgot the congress connections aka "blackberry" , "packages", custodial death etc of your deity "MR. Sanjiv Bhatt".
I can contradicts all your points, come up with better arguments or don't write hate. Go back to school, and learn how to use GOOGLE !!!!!!
Sanjeev bhatt is a liar and is an agent who is working for congress and sickular forces in search of his political identity. In 2002 Modi did nothing wrong. He did what a head of a state Govt. ought to do. English media is after him for its vested interests and so is congress. Dspite all its ill propaganda and forged witnesses they could not prove any thing against Modi. Why Modi should apologize when he did nothing wrong. Yes he had already regretted just after the 2002 riots. That is enough.
