Amazing level of propaganda being carried out by our discredited media. Even after the facts are out in the open, they are trying to brazen it out. These media feudal lords still don't get it that there is a social media now to expose them.

" Only morons fail to make a distinction between Islam the religion and Islamism of the terrorists."

Only apologists and obfuscators fail to see the connection. Religion inspires both saints and sinners. The focus should be on getting powerful and influential theologians and religious authorities to categorically clarify those scriptures that seem to inspire violence and thereby dissuade the gullible from drawing undesirable inferences. Ambivalence is not going to help.

Once Panneerselvam set the ball rolling and the tears flowing, dare will there be any of the ministers following who will not do the obligatory duty of bawling like babies, wailing, lamenting and chest beating?

Woe to them for that will be perceived as the ever so little sign of disrespect and disloyalty to Amma and of course the oath reading paper seized from their hands even as they marched their way to hopefully exercise it.

Disgraceful and degrading circus of the ultimate kind which has put all of the previous TN sycophantic dramas to utter shame.

Standing by Rajdeep for what?
Abusing and brawling?

After this he-said/she-said thing, hope some 'media', not 'news-traders' (as he called it) publish his version.

Reflecting, rather than standing will make you realise that Rajdeep might be in prison if this guy file charges.
I doubt if there is any VIP treatment for an Indian journalist in US jails of soaps and bendings:

http://rajdeepthenewstrader.blogspot.tw/

When Rajdeep assaulted me
I write this for two reasons: to add context to what is evident from the Zee News video clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54xGasucqAc ; to avoid a Rashomon like state and rebut Rajdeep Sardesai's attempt to paint himself the victim. He a big fish and has friends in the media, so he may succeed, but my job is to stand up.

Bored standing in the long line to get into MSG, I took a quick stroll and saw much media coverage, including the likes of Chaubey, Sawant and Sardesai. I noticed Rajdeep taunt a group of young Indians: He asked them 'Did Modi teach you to do this?..." i.e. shouting Rajdeep Murdabad.
Watch this video to see how Rajdeep was essentially trying to continue his 12 year hate-work in trying to tarnish the PM. http://indiatoday.intoday.in/video/rajdeep-sardesai-modi-crowd-frenzied-modi-fans-new-york/1/393219.html. Unable to get the 'negative' answers he's looking for, Rajdeep says 'So what you guys are saying is that the "Media" was unfair to Modi' (this part is not on videos I have seen). I immediately picked up his spin and shot back: Not the media, it is NewsTraders like you who are unfair. And I called him "NewsTrader No.1". This seems to have made him lose his mind: He removed his jacket, and walked over to me (this is the part in the zee news video) and started verbally abusing me ("arsehole" and other threat-cum-abuse). I was surprised at hearing the abuse and his threatening body language given his ever-cool studio self. I retorted with the same epithet. This led to his turning around and attacking me - grabs my collar and shoves me (guess its his privilege in his un-Modified India). I was left with no choice but to push him back.

I would urge people to note 4 things:
1. Rajdeep indulges in unprovoked tarnishing and demeaning of the Indian PM on foreign soil and Indians living there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F1XP9I49Fw
2. Rajdeep starts the verbal abuse / intimidation
3. Rajdeep starts the physical assault
4. Rajdeep turns around and spins victimhood - 'frenzied Modi fans abuse him'.

Is it even remotely acceptable for a senior Indian journalist to engage in unprovoked insulting of our elected PM on foreign soil while he's on an important diplomatic tour, and wilfully trivialize a unique event (by continuing his political battle with the PM) that allowed the NRI community and the Indian Govt to build a stronger bond?

I believe you just cannot carry your personal battle with your PM onto foreign soil and cause harm to the country.

While I reflect upon what next steps to take, I urge everyone to write to the India Today group condemning such dastardly behavior by their 'senior' employee. I request the media (i have no faith in NewsTraders) to take this message to their viewership.

I reflected much on this since then -- what explains Rajdeep's egregious, shameful and harmful behavior? A apt word in American local parlance sums it up best: He's a Hater.

http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/bihar-chief-minister-claims-temple-was-purified-after-his-visit/article6458724.ece?homepage=true

"The Chief Minister’s remarks came during his address at a function organised in memory of the State’s first Dalit Chief Minister Bhola Paswan Shastri on Sunday. “During the by-poll in August, when I visited a temple in Madhubani district. My cabinet colleague Ramlakshan Ram Raman told me that the temple was cleaned and the deity washed after I left the place.”

Mr. Raman, Mines and Geology Minister, who too was present on the dais, immediately said he had not given any such information to Mr Manjhi at any point of time.

“I was not even present with the CM when he went to that temple. Neither have I given him any such information,” Mr Raman told The Hindu. “I do not have anything to say on this.”

Vinod Kumar Singh, Mr. Manjhi’s party colleague and MLC from Jhanjharpur in Madhubani where the Parmeshwari Devi temple is located, also disputed the Chief Minister’s statement.

“Nothing of the kind happened. I was present with the Chief Minister in the temple and stayed in my constituency for the next two days. There was absolutely no question of the temple being cleaned and the idol washed,” he said.

The temple’s priest, Ashok Kumar Jha, said the statement appeared to be politically motivated. “One cannot wash the deity, as she is made of mud,” he said."

Modi should say he will allow Christian Missionaries to carry out conversions, but only if they show that they are spending equal resources/spending equal efforts in converting Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Jains and Sikhs.  I have a strong feeling that Muslims, Sikhs and Buddhists would kill them.  Our religious freedom would satisfy Congressmen.  And we will get what we want.

Key weasel words here are "Then the pushing and shoving begins. A barrage of abuses follow." Notice that there's no mention about who's doing the pushing, shoving and abusing. Until then it was "Rajdeep is smiling" etc. but when it comes to the shoving, no names - why? Was it because it was Rajdeep started the pushing and shoving? He did, didn't he. It's quite clear from the video. Hence the weasel words to avoid saying that he started the physical altercation. Do you think he's not have directly named the other party if that gentlemen had started it?

The economic balance is the difference (FISCAL DEFICIT - TRADE DEFICIT ) = NET PRIVATE SAVINGS and we want the left side to be maximized. This increases NET SAVINGS and FISCAL DEFICITS being free will promote skills and R&D for development and develop real can-do. Talking about skills won't develop any. Increasing FISCAL DEFICITS will. Can-do in rock concers will no-can-do to the real economy!

Much of what Noorani says in Frontline is simply Nehru thinking aloud in the presence of his secretary. Dulles and Eden must have known that there was no way China's SC seat could have been given to India, and Bulganin must have known that to have a sixth permanent member of SC a change in UN charter had to be made which the USSR had no power to do. The idea that the U.S. and the USSR would jointly work on the project of putting India in the SC is something that only simpletons like Fedup/Bibi would fall for. Remember this was the height of the Cold War!

The well-known Sanghi A.G.Noorani quoting GoI minutes of Nehru's meetings with foreign leaders:

http://www.frontline.in/static/html/fl1902/19020810.htm

Nehru: "Informally, suggestions have been made by the United States that China should be taken into the United Nations but not in the Security Council and that India should take her place in the Security Council. We cannot of course accept this as it means falling out with China and it would be very unfair for a great country like China not to be in the Security Council. We have, therefore, made it clear to those who suggested this that we cannot agree to this suggestion. We have even gone a little further and said that India is not anxious to enter the Security Council at this stage, even though as a great country she ought to be there. The first step to be taken is for China to take her rightful place and then the question of India might be considered separately."

John Foster Dulles and Antony Eden (UK) asked Nehru if India was interested. He turned both of them down disdainfully.

***************************

The Russians would have supported us:

Bulganin: "Regarding your suggestion about the four power conference we would take appropriate action. While we are discussing the general international situation and reducing tension, we propose suggesting at a later stage India's inclusion as the sixth member of the Security Council.

Nehru: Perhaps Bulganin knows that some people in USA have suggested that India should replace China in the Security Council. This is to create trouble between us and China. We are, of course, wholly opposed to it. Further, we are opposed to pushing ourselves forward to occupy certain positions because that may itself create difficulties and India might itself become a subject to controversy. If India is to be admitted to the Security Council, it raises the question of the revision of the Charter of the U.N. We feel that this should not be done till the question of China's admission and possibly of others is first solved. I feel that we should first concentrate on getting China admitted. What is Bulganin's opinion about the revision of the Charter? In our opinion this does not seem to be an appropriate time for it.

Bulganin: We proposed the question of India's membership of the Security Council to get your views, but agree that this is not the time for it and it will have to wait for the right moment later on.

Given Nehru's refusal to even consider the matter, Russia moved on.

******************************

In short, the US, UK and USSR were seriously considering giving India the Taiwan seat. Only a jackass would have refused - and we were led by a jackass. Now we have CAIR pracharak and Saroja bint Parrot with their usual tactics - quote Nehru defending his own actions as "proof" that Nehru was not a jackass, and of course lies, distortions, and fabrications.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/11/08/AR2010110800495_2.html?hpid=topnews&sid=ST2010110402773

"India was offered a permanent seat on the council 55 years ago, in 1955. But that offer, made by the United States and the Soviet Union, was declined by India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru said the seat should be given to China instead."

The offer was made to Nehru by John Foster Dulles during his visit to New Delhi. The US had realized that keeping Taiwan in the SC was increasingly untenable and was looking for alternatives that did not involve giving the seat to China. The Russians had their own motives - they wanted Taiwan out because it was strongly pro-US, but they knew the Americans would not acquiesce to giving the seat to China, so they saw giving the seat to India as an improvement over the existing situation. Antony Eden of the UK was OK with it and France did not particularly care one way or the other.

But in typical desi e-shtyle, Nehru turned down the offer contemptuously and told them to give it to China - after all, the Mahabharatha and Ramayan are full of filmi heroes making florid gestures of renunciation of worldly wealth and power to general applause and adoration (think Ram, Bharat, Bhishma, Ekalavya,...). The Americans and Russians probably rolled their eyes at the stupidity of the moron Nehru, the Chinese must have suppressed a smile, and the Pakistanis must have thanked their lucky stars they were dealing with morons who have learned nothing, no matter what terrible things are done to them by invaders over 1000+ years.

Today, we are out in the rain with our begging bowl in our hand, adopting the familair desi pose of righteous indignation and whiny self-pity, begging to be let in, while the Chinese block any move.
