Puri is simply vomitting the liberal press's views(like those of NYtimes and WPost). His references to Bush's poll numbers and impeachment fall in the category. IF you read the NYTimes six or seven months before the beginning of the war, you would find that his poll numbers are always on the decline. The liberal press were screaming about how the public is against war, how Bush is losing the trust of the people and so forth. Yet when they had a chance to replace him, they did NOT. He won by over three million votes. And right after the election, his poll numbers started dropping again.

If these poll nos really suggest what the people think, his own staff would have quit by now.
