Question one should pose is, do Madrassas teach Quaran?  If they do, do they teach anything about Kafirs?  As they say in mathematics, QED.  (Iti Siddham).

These are not chinese civilians by any means --  this is china's time-tested behavior of insulting the country they claim to be visiting on friendly terms.  India should not get economically entangled with china.

China's Xi should bend over on national TV in India, so we can all shove his 100 billion $ up his dictatorial a*se

Don't take words from BJP MP.  Just ask UK Intelligent agencies and UK legislators.  They have deported numerous Imams/teachers of Madrassas, but their complaint is, whoever come to replace those deported Madrassa teachers, do the same thing and do the same preaching.

In fact this MP must be charged with sedition. These kind of statements have always been their chantings, but were unattended by people who had better things to lend their ear to. Now being a ruling party they are well shielded, hence the surge of the old myth taking the form of fact-declarations. Naturally, there might be anti- hindu- mentioning taking place in isolated cases - thanks to the AFFECTION they receive from the self-righteous correctors of history. Then what about the indiscreet muslim - bashing you come to ovehear whenever passing by clusters of pure hindus?

Now as the PM travels around drumming up business which was the trump card he never stopped wielding, his henchmen are busy accomplishing the real work at home.

One should not quarrel with this respectable jusrist and pandit, however,he being learned man should know that Indian Media/Press,particularly English are always always sidelined with minorities, just like this Magazine,Hindus are always tolerent people for that reaon othe minorities lived peacefully in this country, look at Middle East situation where there is no Hindus, whome should they blame any baite? No Muslims are fighting and killing each other, has it happened in India? No Sir,so repectable jusrist must not use such platform to preavh Hindus, how to behave.

Why isn't a secular public education not enough for muslims ?

What is this mad rush for madrassas ? Islam consumes the life and brain of muslims and this proliferation of madrassas just contributes to his narrow religion-based mindset.

The auhor says ""In most studies conducted on madrasas and doctrinal violence, the link has been negative. "

In most studies ?  Even if 10% of the studies shows linkages that is terrible and massive given the number of madrassas in India.

Saroja

Communalisation of politics partitioned India and has continued thereafter in the hands of the so-called secular parties who have continued to pamper religious leaders like Imam Bukhari for votebank politics.

You certainly remember the turbulent times of late 1980s, when a politically cornered Rajieev Bofors Gandhi introduced  solid dose of communalism in politics through Shah Banoo and later allowing Shilanyas in Ayodhya. His chief rival VP Singh tried to grab dalit votes through Mandal Commission. And a marginalized BJP was trying to fight  Mandal with Kamandal raising Ram Mandir issue. The left wing politics was on oxygen support following the slow disintegration of the Soviet block. Free market economy was making inroads in all command economies including India. Right wingers were winning the propaganda war for the first time. Before Babri destruction India had already introduced radical markets based reforms. All these events helped BJP garner more votes but they do not point out the sweeping generalization that there was no communalism in politics before. Please check the record of not so rare communal riots under Congress governments in 1947-1992 period .

I am not condoning the TOI reporting which is truly in poor taste..., but the hypocrisy of the film wallahs is equally disappointing..., they have perpetuated the culture of inserting "rape' scenes and titillating "item" songs for no other purpose than making a killing at the box office... and now all this self righteous tamasha....give me a break!

What the BJP MP is saying is nothing new. That is the assessment of our Intelligence agencies right from 1980s.
