EC Announced 144 - Unlawful Assembly Ban in TN from 22nd 6 pm - 24th 6am ( election day ) . This helped Ruling party to distribute money freely to their prospective voters . When opposition parties identified this and complained to police they ignored/delayed their arrival to spot , in some places opposition parties who complained also got arrested for 144 . In few places opposition parties also distributed money . What EC tried to achieve , their intention might be good but it boomeranged . 144 was never issued in TN during elections and in most parts of TN elections go peacefully from 1950s. During the final phase odds were against ruling party but due to this money flow they turned odds against them . Only Results will tell whether EC has won or money
