i sincerely believed till recently despite having very corruot bueracracy and political syatems we can survive as a democracy as we have a strong media and judiciary. the way our media particulary visual media was presenting it self in the recent past it was corroding my faith.
the last straw was the recent revelations mass media mass money , the way media sold it self out in recent maharastra elections.
judiciary also did not inspire confidence of late. be it justice sen in kolkotta, cash at door in punjab, gazibad EPF case benifitting several sitting judges of higher judiciary, the way supreme court behaves wrt to diclosure of assets, or parting information as directed by CIC all make one conclude that all is not well with judiciary.
after reading the above reply it is only confirmed
waht is the balatant manner in which certain cases are decided where common sense would have revelaed all is not well with judgement
where do we go!
my fear is my grand children and children may have to live in banana republic!
i feel sorry for them

This affidavit filed by senior advocate Prashant Bushan vindicates by previous postings vis-a-
vis justice Dinkaran. A recap of my earlier postings - I had repeatedly said investigate first of all, every upper caste judge who has been on the supreme court bench before investigating justice Dinakaran. I had also said, ' Corruption ' is a disease in India and a very contagious one at that. And that corruption in India has been spread from those on the top of the caste hierarchy, ie, brahmin downwards .

A brief bio-data of Harish Salve :

Harish Salve served as Solicitor General of India from November 1, 1999 to November 3, 2002 during the BJP lead NDA government at the center.

New Delhi: The handful of India’s elite lawyers are probably the country’s highest paid professionals. Harish Salve, Mukul Rohatgi, Ashok Desai, K.K. Venugopal and Abhishek Singhvi are the notables in this essentially boys’ club. They charge around Rs. 3-5 lakh for a five-minute appearance, and can manage up to 10 such appearances per day. For outstation cases, the rate is even higher: from Rs. 10-30 lakh, plus expenses.

Viva Harish Salve !

It is due to the efforts of Shri Prashant Bhushan that Justice Dinakaran was not elevated to the Supreme Court.

Prashant Bhushan is not a designated Senior Advocate. Then how can the media designate him so?
