bush could have never gone to war without the democrat senators votes on the iraq war resolution in oct 2002; the vote was 77/23 in favor; if those 29 democrat senators had voted against the war, it would have been 48yes/52no and that war would have ended right there before it even began. all those iraqi civilians who were bombed to death would be alive. so those 29 democrat senators who voted for the war ... they carry a heavy burden of guilt

http://en.wikipedia.org...Iraq_Resolution_of_2002

but we must also give the press its proper share of the credit for diligent factual investigative reporting. those 29 dem senators must have given a lot of weight to what the NYT said in september 2002, when they ran a story (which they admitted 4 months later was totally baseless and untrue) about iraq trying to get get aluminum tubes to make nukes ..

"On September 8, 2002, the lead article of the paper .. headlined, ‘U.S. Says Hussein Intensified Quest for A-Bomb Parts.’ " .. 'In the last 14 months, Iraq has sought to buy thousands of specially designed aluminum tubes, .. components of centrifuges to enrich uranium",

so bush couldnt have done his biggest work alone, the democrats vote was crucial, and the NYT's sep 8 2002 story was also critical - so they should also share in his reputation since they helped him do it

INSPITE of all 'Bushims', he could become the President of United States. He must have some quality in him that made him a President. The most important one is GUTS. Guts to bring about a change from cold-war mentality and bring India and America closer. Americans say he makes enemies. With India, he made a friend. He has the courage to go after something he believes in against all opposition. He beleives in Capitalism. He goes for it and gets it done his way.

None of this is funny, pretentions apart. Guys you know a part of Time Group is owned by a Saudi Royal and in any case Newsweek has Zakaria. Now we know why mainstream media in US is anti-Bush.

I am no fan of bush, but anti bushism is worse than bushism i something I recognize

George Bush is a fine man. He has shown the guts and imagination to take essential decisions. He has more sense in his backside than the whole pack of Islam-sycophantic pseudo-intellectuals, bereft of that most uncommon quality: common sense.
